Schylling Large ABC Wood Blocks

I bought these for my daughter to teach her the letters. She loves to stack them, and play with them. That being said my dogs have taken to them when left on the floor. A few of them have a bit of a mark on them however they are sturdy blocks and did not fall apart and still fit into the box just fine. I did notice that the front and back have the embosed letters while the other two sides are just painted flat. The size is also good, I didn't want a mini block and I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought these blocks because they are wooden with raised, painted letters and were reminiscent of my childhood toys, and because there are so many of them! I used them to play a made up game at the shower where one partner in the team was blindfolded and the other was a coach telling the blinded partner how to find and position the blocks to spell the baby's name. The first partners to win were the ones who worked together the quickest to get the name spelled out. There were plenty of blocks for the full name to be spelled out twice. It was a fun game, and the mama-to-be was so happy to get the whole box of them as a gift because the container is also very cute, Americana style, and sturdy with a plastic sliding cover on the top. Nice job!

Here is the line-up of the raised letters in the set I purchased. There are no numbers. There were 3 each of: M, N, U, V, X, Y, Z. There were 4 each of all the other letters. These blocks are reminiscent of my childhood and that of my brothers and sister. The blocks were pretty worn out when they got to my youngest brother who is now 41 and twenty years younger than me. We always had fun building with these blocks. I purchased them for my granddaughter who is too young to play with them yet, but we are ready for when she is. These are of good quality and I would recommend them to other buyers.

The quality of these blocks far exceeded our expectations. I mean, you always HOPE things will be this nice, but they rarely are. Seems like someone was actually paying attention as each one was made. I mean, they're literally blocks of wood, so of course they're sturdy, but each one is beautifully painted and the detail on them is excellent. We've all seen crappy blocks. These are NOT crappy blocks. Perfect.

Very clean finished look, two faces well designed and four faces flat printed. Bought for holiday decoration, general usage all family members, and occasional mantle messaging (good fun). btw - very disciplined in their letter distribution too. The box is perfect for storage. Handsome design, not just a cheapo kid's toy set. Bravo.

The blocks are great, colorful, sturdy, and large enough for my 1-year old's safety. The plastic cover was cracked, however, and I'm hoping to find a way to contact the seller or manufacturer to get that replaced since it is now very sharp and dangerous to use.

These wood blocks were purchased as a gift for my 2 year old grandson. He loves playing with them. Unexpectedly we found his boy cousins age 4 and 7 spelling and making up stories with the pictures for hours. I also bought set for another grandson for his 1st birthday. These are winners. They are brightly colored, charming, engaging, and durable. I'm confident I will buy these again for future birthday gifts. The storage box is very sturdy and perfect to store the block in for easy organization.

My 2 1/2 year old grand-daughter LOVES these blocks. She has been playing with them every day for a month now and they are still brightly colored with no chipping or fading. I like that they are bigger than other alphabet blocks so she can stack them easily. They are helping her learn the letters and there are enough letters so she can spell family members' names and other words.
