Loved this book for children of architects! So sweet, so catchy, and perfect for budding architects. Highly recommend this to all young elementary aged children.

This is a book that should be in every classroom.
I have read it to the kids at my daughter's kindergarten class, and loved it so much I had to have it at our house too.Iggy Peck is no regular toddler. This one makes towers out of diapers, cathedrals out of apples and a chateau of chalk. inquisitive and bright Iggy delights everyone with his unusual interest and talent, accept for his 2nd grade teacher - Miss Lila Greer. Unfortunately for Iggy, Miss lila suffers from a architecture phobia, inflicted on her in an early age when she was lost on a tour to a sky scraper, and found only two days later, in an elevator, with a french circus troup. Miss Lila declares that buildings have no place in second grade, sentencing Iggy to feel bored and unappreciated...But a day comes - and Miss Lila Greer will need his talent, and learn to love and appreciate it. I was thrilled to find this book at our school, and I wish more classroom had this book, and more teachers read and understood it's message. This funny, intelligent story will be as much fun for you to read as for your children to hear. It is a "not too long, not too short, perfect for a bed time story" kind of book, that my kids cannot get enough of.Accompanied by wonderful illustrations, it is one of the most beautiful picture books I have seen.I recommend it to anyone who has kids in ages between 4 and 8.

Kids love it, rhyming scheme is a bit complex :)
My 3 and 6 yo love it. The rhyming cadence is a bit more confusing than Rosie Revere and Ada Twist (these 2 have simpler rhyming schemes), so it takes a few reads to make it sound good when I read it out loud. Try to do it in a rhythmic, sing-song way that my kids like. Again - you have to practice a few times to get it right. Fun story and have gotten a lot of use from it!

3 yo Keeps Asking for It
We have a lot of great books at home but Iggy Peck Architect became an instant favorite. We bought a copy from the National Building Museum's wonderful store while visiting my mom who lives in the D.C. area and we left it at her house among a small stash of other toys and books that we've left there. But here I am on Amazon ordering another copy b/c my 3 year old keeps asking for "Iggy Peck Architeck". It's a great read for both little ones and grown-ups, clever story, wonderfully illustrated and inspirational! This will be a new staple birthday and holiday gift for the preschool set.Quick Update: Our 3 y.o. daughter now knows this book almost by heart and as a result of our daily readings, our 18 month old's first three syllable word was architect! I've already given many copies of gifts. This one is a classic.

Parents will enjoy reading this as much as children will enjoy this LOL BOOK!
My daughter is an architect, and her daughter is now five, so I thought the whole family would appreciate this book. It looked delightful from the few intro pages online, so I ordered it to give her for Christmas. Well, I would have waited until she saw it to write the review, except that I simply couldn't wait to tell the world that this is the MOST INCREDIBLE BOOK! I started reading it and couldn't put it down, and found myself laughing out loud all the way through it! WHAT FUN! It's a book that parents will enjoy reading to their children as much as the children will enjoy the delightful adventures of this precocious young architect-in-the-making and the hilariously creative artwork. Do yourself a favor -- BUY THIS BOOK! THEN figure out who to give it to! You'll love it!
