As I recall the light was red while the battery is charging and flashing green when the battery is fully charged

It did not charge mine because the connector didn't fit. You need "sl24-07-02"charger for that.

Will this charge mercedes ride on 24v?

Yes it should. I bought it for my 24 V jeep and it works great.

Doesn't fit Radio Flyer Ultra-GoKart without changing the tip of cable to bigger pin size

I got this for a Radio Flyer Ultra Go-Karts and I had to modify it to fit the kart. Center pin was too fat to fit into the plug on end of charger cable. From completely dead battery to full charge it's about 24hrs. I think because this charger is .5amp instead of 1.0amp, switch takes 8-12hrs.
