They worked pretty good as long that you mounted into stud or installed backing

These are apparently for use on concrete walls. I was able to make them work by installing them in studs. You will need a stud finder, and the ability to figure out what size bits to use, etc., so if you are looking for DIY simple, these may not be for you. That being said, we moved and the wife wants more shelves so I ordered them again...

I liked the idea of having floating shelves and decided to buy this screws/holders thinking it was going to be easy to install. I have the basic skills and tools to get this job done and it was still very dificult to do. The basics designs are there however there are still a lot of flaws in this product that can definitely improve. First of all it was really hard to drill a whole that big to put in the pin in. With out a straight drill guide it will be impossible to drill a straight whole which it will cause your pin to go in tilted making you shelf impossible to assamble due to the inaccuracy of all the pins going different ways. Also the lenght of the pin is way to big for simple and small shelves. Whith out the right drill the pin could go in really tide making impossible to turn the screw to level the shelf. Keep in mind this is a product you might want to use if you are not planning on removing the shelf ever since it will be extremely difficult to do so.

The media could not be loaded.  The cheapest made piece of hardware I have ever incountered in my life!!! Breaking what seemed to be a heavy duty shelf hardware bracket with only using my hands to start the install in the wall!!

Biggest piece of garbage. I threw mine out after everything fell into the wall, so I couldn’t return it and get my money back. It was NOT user error. This is for concrete walls, and should be mentioned in the description. I bought a floating shelf from Lowe’s for a little bit more. And it worked perfectly.

How about recommending a drill bit size? 1/2"? 3/8? mm? inches? What about installing in wall studs? Do you use the plastic sleeves? Sending back for something better.

Expensive for what a 10mm steel rod can do.
