Not so Good and Not so Bad
This is truly a handbook so don't expect every minute details from this book. The topics (mainly British poetry not English poetry,British drama not English drama and so on ) have been discussed to the point .The language is crisp, lucid, simple and straightforward. The book is helpful for revision .Gather knowledge from the other authentic sources and then read this book for revision and in some cases for extra bit of Net Centric important facts. Some important topics have been presented through 'boxes ' and under 'Key Points ' which are noteworthy. The book mainly focuses on British poetry and do not forget the syllabus include not only British literature but English literature in general. Non British literature (ie American literature, African literature, Canadian literature ) covers only two pages in this book ...Overall, my first impression on this book is that it's not so good and not so bad.If you just wish to revise go for it ...If you want to learn in details then don't buy it ...

Worst book
I purchased this book because I heard of Vineet Pandey who was a renewed and famous author. I thought it would be helpful for NTA NET . But I was disappointed when I received the book. For the last few days I was going through the book and I realized it is the worst book I've ever come across. Don't go by this book,if you are going to prepare for NET. Don't buy this book. You will only find uselessness. nothing else. Though it would be impossible for an aspirant to get all the contents / materials in a particular book when it comes to NET Exm. But for this book, I would say, is nothing but wasting your money .

Don't water time
The paper quality of the book is not good and the font size is very small, so there is a problem in reading. Some important topics are not included in the book. Book price is very high, please do not spend money.

Good but not great.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. It is merely a brief note that cannot suffice for competition of NET/JRF. However, it has included all the important facts and summary of many important books maintaining the rhythm of the language. Other books for NET generally do not include the information of text that is needful for the competition.Positively, the book has dealt with Poetry, Drama, Fiction, Criticism etc seperately while most books or even the books of history of English literature take them age wise. To the Modern Age, the has gone well but it has lost its patience in the contemporary period. It has included the list of books only not even the brief introduction. For non-British literature, if I say so, it has slightly touched it. Even Anlo-Indian literature is missing in this book.Somewhere, the book has jumped over and it has missed some major authors and their works. In poetry, Marlowe and Michael Drayton are few of the examples. The life span of the authors help us understand their contemporaries. The year of book published is also missing somewhere. Since I have been an online student of the author so I may say that the book seems to be published in hurry. Finally, I am waiting for the next edition with desirable addition along with more addendums such as Authors and their pseudonym, Books with sequel or prequel, the books in trilogy and tetralogy, pamphlets and magazine and finally a detailed chronology.Thank you
