BETTER THAN HOMEMADE!
I had a box of these Meyer Lemon Bars sittingin my pantry for several months before I decided to make a batch and bring them toa potluck. I’m so glad I did because they areamazing and still tasted delicious even afterthe expired date on the box! They are justdelicious and perfect in every way from thecrust to the incredible lemon filling! The onlything that could possibly make them taste better would be the addition of some lemonzest to the filling but that would be an optionand up to you. I would also recommendthat you use parchment paper for ease of removal from the pan. I will never make themfrom scratch again as these are so easy tomake and so much better than anything Icould ever bake myself! 5 stars!

ALWAYS a HiT...Of the MANY Desserts I Make, These are One of the Most Favored
Prices have gone up, but these Lemon Bars are ALWAYS worth it, if you take a couple of hints.I get these on Subscribe and Save, but sometimes you find even better deals when you click in the area on Amazon that provides other options. I just bought two 12 packs, which really discounted the price per unit...and though I will keep half, the others are destined to go to friends who loved these when I brought to an occasion. The big hint is to substitute at least half the water asked for in the recipe with either bottled lemon juice or even better, real lemon juice with a few bits of the lemon peel grated in. I usually make a double batch, and use a little extra butter in the crust. Something you will be proud to serve. Our daughter/son in law are doing Thanksgiving this year, and asked me to bring the dessert....not pies, but the Lemon Bars and my Coconut Macaroons with little chunks of Belgium Chocolate. These are unbelievably easy to make but another Top Hit. Daughter will supply the pies, but these are the desserts everyone asked for.

Good because it's Krusteaz brand, but too sweet for my taste buds.
Krusteaz is one of my favorite brands. I especially like lemon flavored desserts but this was a little too sweet for me. I was pleasantly surprised that the crumbly crust dough solidified. I had to rub it back and forth lightly between my hands to get it mixed without adding more liquid, in this case butter. A pie crust trick learned from my mother. Not surprised it was very good. (Almost like a cookie.). So, it was okay, just too rich, as in too sweet, for my taste buds.
