Great quality for the price
I love wine but I seldom drank it unless we were out because the bottle would turn before I could finish at my speed of enjoyment. While there are more expensive options out there that can do amazing tricks like draw a glass without removing the cork or take up all the air space in the bottle in an attempt to preserve the flavor, this vacuum pump does the job for a fraction of the cost and delivers on the 2 week freshness stated in the description. Is it freshly uncorked fresh? The few bottles that lingered to 14 days because they were accidentally put back in the wine rack where I might add they did not leak, they still tasted fantastic on day 14 but it had been 14 days so who can really say what it tasted the same. It also will depend on your wine. If you're going to buy wine who is made by a place where the parent company is a big soda maker, there really isn't anything that is going to improve that so perhaps that is the "leftover wine" that the Martha Stewart types suggest you pour into an ice cube tray to use later in cooking.

Pump works great, stoppers create strong seal...BUT...
I had a older model which was a couple decades old. The pump stopped working correctly ( it would pull air out, but when pushed down it would try to push it back in!) So I bought this one ( these things are invaluable!!) Pump works great, stoppers work fine. One complaint...to remove these stoppers, you have to pull them out, against the vacuum. No way to release the vacuum. That requires some forcefulness, and possible jerking of the bottle, splashing of wine. My old model stoppers had a slit in the top...you squeezed the stopper, the slit opened, air rushed in, and there was no more vacuum. Easy pullout. But luckily, this puller fits perfectly on my old stoppers, work great with the old stoppers, so I am using it with my old stoppers!

Not as nice as older ones no longer made, but they do the job well.
I used to have a number of stoppers for a wine pump, but slowly I got down to one as the grandkids loved to play with them and the dog liked to chew them; they were soft and worked very well both in sealing and releasing. I presume they are not made anymore because I could not find equal replacements. Each stopper had several o ring-like external rings which made for a good seal. The first replacements I found only had one ring and did not seal well. These have three rings and do the job. They release the vacuum differently that the originals -- not as conveniently and may not last as long because of this, but I do recommend them.

Not as easy to pump as the others
I've been using manual vacuum pump wine and food savers for a while. Most are easy to pump and the rubber sealers are somewhat flexible, which makes sense. This one, is more difficult to pump, and I am a pretty big guy who lifts weights most of the week, but enjoys a good glass of red wine. I think it is due to the sealers being harder plastic versus a more rubbery plastic, like the others. I hope that over time they will break in, and thus the pumping action won't be as difficult to get a true seal and vacuum.

HIGHLY Satisfied With This Set
Prior to purchasing these, I owned another wine saver vacuum pump set from a different manufacturer. That one only included two flimsy stoppers: one didn't work at all and the other stopper barely seemed to work at all. THIS set works very well and the rubber stoppers are nice and solid with hardly any give. You can tell that this set works both while using it and once the stopper is removed after pumping. While pumping, you can feel the resistance on the pump as air is removed from a bottle. When removing the stoppers, it takes a slight bit of effort and there's a nice pop sound once the stopper is out. I've stored wine bottles on their side with these stoppers in and have not experienced any leaks at all.

Works fine
This replaces an older vacuum pump that I had. I loved that one but it was starting to wear and it was time to replace it. I wish I could have found another one just like it, but I haven't been able to. I bought this one and it works well. The only problem I have is that the rubber stoppers are a bit stiff, but they still work. Maybe with more use, they will soften up a bit. I kept a couple of stoppers from my old vacuum pump that work with this one and for the time being I'll continue using those. All things considered I would buy this again.

wish i would of known about this b4 drinking box wine lol
hasnt broke yet. does what i need it to do, which is hold a bottles freshness for a couple of days longer. just a few note, i recommend this fofor botyles priced between 15-30$ and depending on wine type will determine how long the vacuum pump technique will make a wine last. For example, deep dark reds would stay fresh longer (up to/no more then 5 days) compared to a pinot (2 days). If it was a 40$ to 100$ bottle of wine and you just want a taste, use a Coravin. I use this at the tasting rm i work at. when i open a bottle, after a week i take it home and no longer give to patrons.

Good value, works fine.
Just got the product about 1 week ago and so far so good. The pump is manual, but easy to use. It came with for Stoppers, which seem to be working just fine. I read a review that said the stoppers didn't fit all bottles. So far, I haven't run into that problem. The stoppers fit a typical wine bottle and seem to hold the suction. One bottle I've left in my wine refrigerator on its side and there has been no leak. I'll keep testing it, but seems to be working pretty well. Good value at about $13.

DEFECTIVE, I DO NOT RECOMMEND
I bought 2 because I had similar before (plastic) these were « premium » metallic so I purchased. The first time I used it, it did not work. It did not work, because it was new and had plastic fatigue it broke right off.(see pic) I did not open the other one. I did not return them. They were inexpensive but I would hardly call this a good buy nor « premium ». I am very disappointed in this purchase! If it works as advertised they are great and do keep wine fresh.

Seals well
The media could not be loaded. Not only I can save my wine I can save my beer and open pop in bottles. If I can't finish my pop I simply cork it. Tastes the same, tesed a week with it on held really keep my drink fresh and bubbly not flat. This is an awesome product

Finally...One that Works
Finally, a pump kit that makes the bottle sealers big enough to fit the wine bottle holes. Over the years, we have purchased several of these kits, but the seals were too small for the bottles. This kit works. Finally.

Non-functional out of the box
Out of the box, the o-ring that is supposed to seal the space between the wine bottle and the pump appears to be too large to fit the pump. Part of it bulges away from the pump, preventing a seal from being formed.Did the designers learn nothing from the Challenger disaster?
