Really good starter kit. Eventually you'll want to upgrade to at least a compresser with tank. The compressor supplied vibrates so much it fell off my desk a couple of times. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for this.

Considering the price this brush works surprisingly well. Perfect for doing base coats and blending on larger surfaces. Don't expect to do fine work as the 0.2mm needle won't really work (not unusual to be honest) but as a starter airbrush this is excellent. Just remember to always blow dry air through as you finish spraying as of you don't it will clog in seconds.

My partner purchases this kit for painting his models; mainly for his train set surrounds and model aeroplanes. He had been using just a fine paint brush, but when a friend told him about the alternative, airbrushing, he had to have a go. He has assembled a few of the pieces so I could photograph them before he set to work using the kit.He was given some of the airbrush paints to practice with before buying himself a set; they are acrylic paints, but specially made for these airbrush guns. The paint distribution is very fine and precise; in fact there are a variety of different sized pin heads that can be used. A clip fits neatly into the top of the motor where the pen can be rested between uses; the paint going into the upper lidded cup. The trigger controls the pressure of the paint flow; he has found the highest level is the best for his current projects.Everything in this kit looks and feels very well made, well in fact like a professional kit, our friend has, and he paid considerably more for his.After watching several explanatory videos on YouTube my partner felt quiet confident, and in the week or so since he purchased this kit, has moved onto bigger projects, some more successful than others! The small wooden bird box he airbrush painted, looks very professionally done, I must admitSmall cleaning brushes are provided but most of the time a good rinse in a cleaning fluid, followed by a rinse under the tap, seems to have cleaned everything fully; cotton buds also come in handy, I'm told; this however seems to be the most fiddly bit.His main advise is, don't use paint that is too thick, as it blocks the mechanism; check out the videos on-line, they really helped him; and practice before undertaking important projects.A very good kit for the price; he is delighted and happy to recommend.

This is my very first *real* airbrush kit. I've got one from the 60's that uses compressed canned air, but this is a whole different beast. I've only ever painted using stencils in the past, but wanted to get into painting toys and diecast cars. Getting this put together and ready to spray was very easy. If you've ever put anything together, this is pretty much plug and play. Cleaning....Had to look up a video for it....Usage...had to look up a video. HahaFiguring out the right amount of pressure to use to get an even coat of paint took quite a bit of practice. I was able to get satisfying results after about an hour on some particle board. I also learned that you DEFINITELY want to use thinners with your paints because you can run out pretty quick if you aren't careful. They didn't dilute the color much, and I saved a lot of paint.Out of the box you get the air compressor, air brush, and a cleaning kit. Everything seems to be pretty decent quality. I kinda wish it came with some more filters and some plastic cups, though.My first real project is adding some blood to an old broken kid's toy I found a while back. I'd always wanted to do something with it, and using the airbrush seemed to be a pretty solid idea. After spraying, I went over it with a sponge to give it some texture. I think it turned out great.I have lots of ideas for customs, and this is going to be a fantastic tool for my future projects. It's great for an absolute beginner, and well worth the money. At the moment, I can't see any reason to get something more expensive.

I decided to make a miniature replica race truck as a gift for Christmas. I soon found out that it was way to small and detailed to just use spray paint out of the can. I did a lot of homework and read a lot of reviews before deciding to go with this one. It arrived very quickly and I showed it to my dad to see if he thought it was a good one. He was very impressed with the quality and very surprised when I told him how much I paid for it. The airbrush feels very sturdy and I liked the fact it was a dual action, had three different sized tips and was a complete kit, including brushes to clean it. It worked great once I figured out that my paint was a little thick and reduced it. The instructions were fairly helpful in figuring out what everything did and then it was pretty easy to navigate after that. I have only used it for the one project so far, but I’m eagerly trying to find more projects to use it on.
