A life saver
The old hose on my portable AC unit deteriorated and it was time for a replacement. The unit itself still works beautifully, so the idea of replacing the WHOLE THING was not even an option! I measured the opening and went with this replacement hose based on reading all of the reviews. I am happy with this purchase because it WORKS!! Wonderfully!!!You basically just twist one end into the backside coupler and to the other end into the outside panel -- badda boom, badda bing, air conditioning! It seals tightly so no air escapes, and the hose is very flexible. I wheel the unit all over my apartment, LOL. My place keeps cool, the cats are keeping cool, and I am just so grateful for this replacement hose. For the price point, speed of arrival, and ease of installation, I would recommend this hose 10 times over.

5 inch but on the smaller side comapred to other 5.1 exhaust hose diameter.
I have a older Sharp Portable AC roll around box that takes the smaller 5.1 hose, and closer to 5 than 5.1.I'm pretty sure this hose will work with the window kit I recently got that also wants a slightly smaller setup.Well, it doesn't fit the adapters into the sharp AC so unless I find something to make it work here it's not going to fit but if everything on your AC is really close to 5 inch it should work for you.The hose itself seems to be fine quality but some units use odd sizes or take special adapters to work I guess.

Perfect match!
The hoses came quickly and are longer than what came with the new portable ac unit. It’s in my basement so the distance needed to the window is higher. Thanks to Amazon I could search and receive without having to go to at least two stores!!
