Better than Michaels
A great price and way better than Michaels brushes. Perfect lines and clean up nicely.

Love these paint brushes for various mediums to be applied and the handles are soft to hold.
I love these brushes and the handles. I just have bought them so haven't used them yet, but talon brushes are usually higher quality for applying paints and various other mediums. Love the handles and the width of the brush without extra long brushes. Will update once I use them. The handles are hand friendly to use, look great in package.

I love these brushes!!!!
I love these brushes! I am a chalk painter, furniture upcycler and I am constantly searching for paintbrushes that will work on all sizes of furniture pieces. Some are to stiff, some loose their bristles into your piece while painting it and I have refused to purchase expensive paintbrushes by the chalk paint companies who charge 25 dollars or more for their brushes! I mean what is the point of recycling an old worn out piece of furniture that someone was going to toss out, and you repair it and repaint it using expensive brushes? It contradicts everything about recycling in my mind! So I have always made it a point to search for good brushes that don't cost a lot of money. I took a chance because of the very inexpensive price and I ordered two packages. I was excited to try them out so I changed out the brushes that I was working with on a cabinet that I am currently painting and I tried these. I absolutely love how the paint just flows on wood with these brushes! The bristles are thick and soft so they hold a lot of paint so no need to constantly go back and dip them into the paint! They don't leave brush marks, a big no no when painting furniture! No shedding of bristles, even on the first use! I just love these because they can handle larger pieces like an end table or coffee table and then work beautifully on a jewelry box which I frequently paint as well! They are even more substantial than they look in the package on here. They are a perfect weight in the hand, just the right length handle, not too long or too short, just perfect in my humble opinion, but I've been upcycling furniture for the past ten years so what do I know! 😂🤣 The only thing that I gave it three stars for was that it takes a little bit longer to clean them because they are so thick and hold so much paint! When I am working on a project I am usually using more than one paint brush at a time, so instead of leaving them out to dry up while not using them for a time, I stick them into a ziploc bag and that way they don't stiffen up on you. At the end of the day when I've finished what I'm painting or just done for the day, I wash out my brushes. I run warm water and put Dawn dish detergent on the brush, rub it in a bit and start washing it out under the warm water. I noticed that I usually have to repeat this a second time with these brushes but I'm not complaining, just stating my experience using them. I noticed that several people said that these brushes shed a lot of bristles when they used them, but that has not been my experience at all with them! You can usually tell if a brush is going to give you problems by picking a new brush up, taking your fingers and pulling the bristles back with your fingers a few times before you use them. This usually removes any loose bristles that were never attached in the first place, but after several uses already, I haven't had a problem! I also wish that FolkArt or Plaid, or whomever makes these brushes would have various sizes for such a great low price like these ones! I needed some more detail brushes and I had to go with another brand because the thinner brushes by FolkArt are considerably more expensive! I don't know why that is but at least these will be my go to brushes for the main painting of my projects! Sorry this review is so long, I just wanted to be thorough in explaining just how well these brushes work for my purpose! I don't know anything about painting on canvas with acrylics or watercolors, but if you are a chalk painter or a crafter who uses paints with their crafting, these brushes will work for your needs! I highly recommend for this purpose and I will be back for more when I need them!

Good brush
For the cost these brushes work really well, even with top coats (polycrylic and paint couture top coats). Great for small - medium projects (I use mostly chalk paint). Not a lot of brush strokes, very durable after multiple washings

This is same quality you get in a brush from the fine art supply stores
I absolutely love these brushes! I paint ceramics and have large areas to cover. I thought I was buying a brush that was 1/2" thinner which I have been using for 14 years and got these by my own accident. Which was only a blessing in disguise. Not only do I great coverage, and no brush strokes, I get things done much quicker. I leave my brushes in water until I get around to them and these things hold up. I am excited about this new size brush and will be getting more once my business picks up. This style bristle is a must have with ceramics, you need the synthetic, it just glides on smooth and cleans up fast. These are low cost and my other just like this but thinner size last the past 6 years. Every now and then they may come loose, but you just get a tool and clamp the metal tighter or re-glue them in. I soak these guys in water for weeks and they still last for years. This is same quality you get in a brush from the fine art supply stores for $14- $22. Same clamp and synthetic bristles.

Hurray
Love, love, love these brushes. Nice and soft, very easy to clean. I've used with a variety of mediums without any problems. I am a paper crafter so lots of acrylic paints, watercolor, pastes - no bristles coming out. Great value.

Great brushes, but brush looks worn quickly
I am a professional artist. I absolutely love these brushes. They lay paint on quickly. I use them all the time. I have some higher end brushes that I love and I also use inexpensive brushes like these all the time. I highly recommend these, but you must know that after frequent use the brush head looks frayed. It goes from sleek and flat to frayed and thick. I can still use them this way, but if you are expecting them to look the same through many uses they just won’t. They will lay paint on differently in the beginning versus after multiple uses. I use them for acrylic. I still highly recommend because they are great for the price and they lay color in well even after they look frayed. 5 stars for value and function, just know the brush head changes after use and washings.
