Unreliable pump, terrible warranty support
Pentair IntelliFlo pumps are terrible. Ours failed the first year, apparently they aren’t designed to withstand Texas summers. Since it was still under warranty, our installer submitted a warranty claim. However, for the last month Pentair has been saying that the replacement part is on backorder and they can’t give me an estimated date of delivery. One customer support person said backorders can take months. We were told that the pumps are manufactured in the US and their production is not shut down, so apparently selling new pumps is a priority but replacement parts for warranty failures is not. Anyone who wants to run a pool pump during summer should look at other brands.

3rd replacement motor
With this replacement, I had to re-pipe both inlet and discharge.

Sta-Rite Pentair is a bad company. 3rd Intelliflo with problems in 3 years. Not buying a 4th.
I have contacted them far too many times with no assistance. The pool industry in general is sketchy, but this is the cream of the crop.Last time the motor was making clunking sounds.First one the drive unit went bad. This time the keypad some buttons no longer respond. The price of a replacement part keypad is the same as the entire intelliflow vs.Not gonna spend this kind of iphone money on a pump that goes bad and the company does not honor its products or reputation.A few years ago, they were trying to limit the products from home depot, amazon, and ebay. They failed miserably so they ended up making another part number just for distribution called EC. E-Commerce sales. They actually have the nerve to make a part number EC or non-EC because they realized that they were losing out by trying to make the pumps only available via pool installers and all the graymarket E-Commerce sales online that they were losing control of.You can tell how clueless they are, by using EC. If they were savvy marketers, they would have used a more inconspicuous part number like SV, for Scam Version. To top that off, they have this BS warranty of 60 days if you DIY instead of 3 years when installed by one of their 'authorized' clowns. If you have owned a pool long enough, you know that there are many 'pool professionals' who don't know what they're doing so this requirement only protects Pentair and their cronies. It harms the pool owner in a big way.Owning a pool is like owning a iphone, sooner or later, you're gonna get scammed. And if you keep buying again, you're gonna end up bankrupt.

Great pump
I bought this pump and it was delivered ahead of scheduled delivery, was relatively easy to install for anyone with a little experience, the instructions that were included were adequate to get it programmed how I wanted it so as far as this vendor and this pump go they get 5 stars, looking forward to seeing my next electric bill. The pump is using less than 300 watts

An excellent product. My second one in 17 years. Lightening struck my old one.
No dislikes. Just a great product.
