NoritakeColorwave White 4-Piece Square Place Setting, Service for 1

well packaged, arrived in perfect shape. I had already ordered the Pasta bowl from somewhere else and really liked it. I am partial for red so wanted to get a place setting. A little o the expensive side, very nice dishes and I expect will hold up well if handled responsibly. I am happy with this place setting of 4 items, mug, small cereal bowl, bread/salad plate and large dinner plate. I also liked that they are square except the bowl and mug.

Great quality and durability

I bought this set in lots of different colors - there are quite a few although Amazon does not carry them all so most of my sets came from a local retailer. The photo shows a very bright yellow but the color is called "mustard" and that is a more accurate description of the color. All of the colors are speckled. The dinner and salad plates are generously sized but fit into my dishwasher with no problem and the flat edges mean they don't roll around. The mug and bowl are not oversize. "Right sized" in my opinion but some people may find them to be a little on the small side, especially the bowl if you want to use it for pasta for example. I love the fact that the surface of the plate is white, which is a nicer way to present food, but you still get a pop of color.

Wanted to replace a few items from my set that had been broken over the past 10 years. The replacements matched perfectly. They ARE oven safe, even though the Amazon description leaves that part out. Noritake is outstanding.

I didn't realize that when I bought this, I was only purchasing one four-piece setting, so I was slightly disappointed at first... But boy, did my mind change when I opened the box and looked these dishes over. They're the highest quality dinnerware I've personally owned, they look and feel like a million bucks, and I'm so happy with them that I ordered four more settings right away. I can't say enough about these beautiful dishes!
