I was honestly hesitant to try this product at first. As someone with a known allergy to shellfish (especially crabs), I was worried that the glucosamine, which is often derived from shellfish, might trigger a reaction. To my relief, I experienced absolutely no allergic reactions. No itching, no hives, no digestive discomfort—nothing. It was very well tolerated, and that alone was a big win for me. But beyond that, I started to notice gradual improvements that made a real difference. Pain relief and mobility: Within about 2–3 weeks of consistent use, I noticed that my joint stiffness—especially in the mornings or after long periods of rest—had significantly decreased. The dull aches in my hips and knees became less noticeable, and activities like walking, standing up from a seated position, and even light stretching felt smoother and more comfortable. Worked well from Day 1

A few years ago I started having multiple aches and pains in my feet that grew worse when I resumed running/walking every day. (I'm a 53yo woman.) I've had great success with glucosamine products with my aging pets, and as the months dragged by with no improvement in my feet I decided to give Doctor's Best a trial run. 24 hours after the first dose, I noticed a difference, but that wasn't necessarily the supplement, since the pain does vary from day to day. Now, ten days in, I can definitely say the supplement is helping. I still have some pain in the joint at the outside edge of my right foot, but it's MUCH better than it used to be, and the myriad pains in both feet are mostly gone. I'm looking forward to seeing how things feel after a month! BTW, others have noted the size of the capsules. I find that the size tracks with that of other, similar nutraceuticals; these are coarser products -- essentially, food extracts -- than most pharmaceuticals. It takes a relatively large amount to get the job done. I actually have no problem downing multiple capsules at once, and I'm not a large person. I'd be willing to take each capsule individually, though, given the improvement I'm experiencing.

I was VERY familiar with this type of product for animals. I watched my old horse go from limping everywhere to smoothly running around after a week of a loading dose with similar active ingredients. Fast forward many, many years and many successful recommendations to other people to try glucosamine PLUS Chondroiten Plus MSM for inflammation Plus HA hyaluronic acid to bump up the eqq white consistency of the joint's synovial fluid... I find myself in pain a year and a half after a bad car accident. Hips hurting when I walk very long and at night, relegating me to sleeping on my back-also suffering from pain in my hands, neck, shoulder, mid back, thighs, thumb, even my feet. It's worse when it's cold and rainy. I'm just over 50 so I seem to be healing so slowly--even though there is and was a lot to heal... I decided to try supplementing-- Covid has me staying at home most of the time and not doing all the physical therapy and chiropractor etc I was, so my regimen is down to home work: infrared, red light, whole body vibration, mediation, fasting, assigned PT exercises and gentle pilates stretches & strengthening. I decided to add this to my repertoire. I also decided to do a LOADING dose for one week which is double the dose for the first week-most every animal product like this recommends this loading dose week at first. I drink almost a gallon of water every day so I figure that will help with things. I take 5 in the morning and 5 in the evening--this type of product always has a ton of pills to take and I do appreciate that they are smaller and easier to swallow than some pills I've had in the past. I'm on day 3 of a loading dose and already noticing a difference in my hips at night and some improvement when I go to stand up from sitting-not creaking and popping & stiff like normal. I usually roll over in my sleep and some time later wake up from extreme pain because I'm laying on my side. (from multiple fractures in my pelvis). I go back to sleep on my back and wake up again once I have rolled over. Well, that didn't happen last night. Normally, I wake up in the mornings and hurt so badly I will put my bed into Zero Gravity position to drink my coffee and wait for the aches to subside before getting up for the day. I'm writing a review so soon after purchase because I had no idea if this would help me and figured I'd need a week of a loading dose before I'd see any results just like my old horse did--not 3 days! I'm VERY happy with the results and have not done any other thing different. I hope the results last and help me heal more. I plan to only take the double dose until my week is up and then split up the 5 pills- morning and evening. It'd be excellent if it helped my skin, hair and nails, but I'd take pain relief first and foremost as living in consistent pain is plain ole wearisome. I miss going for walks with my husband and dog...

Drs Best is a great brand. I tried the Glucosamine for my knees and within a week I noticed a difference. I had no pain. They are a little pricey, but they do work.

I had an ACL surgery in 2019 feb And along with torn Acl I torn my Outer meniscus and Cartilage of the patella. I was looking for glucosamine that can help regenerate my cartilage from patella. I tried kirkland glucosamine but the result was minimal. So I decided to try this and today is the day when I finished my first bottle and i can say I can feel the popping sound is less and pain in the patella is also very less. I have ordered another bottle of this. I used to take 3 pill after breakfast and 2 after evening snacks. But from the 2nd bottle i will take all the 5 pills in the morning only. I guess it will work best when taken all the suggested pills at once. I hope you a speedy recovery from your pain.
