10" Nuclear Grade DI Replacement Cartridge

I own a black car and live in a house that has extremely hard water. Washing the car had become a time consuming process of re-wetting and wiping with multiple towels in order to avoid water spotting. The whole production had me dreading the washing process and I was washing the car very infrequently because of it.I decided it was time to research water filtering options. I discovered that I could purchase the same de-ionizing resin used in very expensive filters used by professional car detailers, but buy it in cartridges that fit common sized house water filter housings. I happened to have a spare set of 10" housings that were previously used for filtering tap water. Since I still had a high quality sediment filter for the first housing, I decided to shop for a DI cartridge and try out a home made spot free rinse filter system. With just a couple of extra fittings and a short water hose, I was able to connect the filter housings to a faucet. That allowed me to wash with the unfiltered water, then quickly connect the filter at the faucet end. When I received the filter it dropped right into the second housing and I was ready to try it out.On a hot summer day, I washed the car and made sure to keep it wet the whole time. That took about 30 minutes. Then I simply connected the filter at the faucet, gave the car a final, low pressure rinse and walked away. I returned later that day to find a completely spot free vehicle. This filter is a fantastic tool and a real time saver. The time and effort I save drying the car makes this filter completely worth the investment and because it can be refilled I will only have to buy more resin when the cartridge gets used up. I highly recommend this filter cartridge to anyone who washes their car at home.

The cartridge fit well and it worked great for maybe 100 gal I had 0 TDS after about a week my TDS rose to over 300 PPM which is higher then my tap water..... the resin may not be good but it was worth it for the cartridge which is refillable.... So for 10$ its deal on just the cartdrige but beware of TDS spiking crazy at maybe 1\2 life of the resin

fits snug. started turning brown then white after just a week of use...I thought it would last at least 3 months

I put this cartridge in a filter housing fitted with garden hose adapters (I used a clear housing so I can see the reported color change as it loses efficiency) and put it in-line with my power washer so I can rinse rinse the car with DI water after washing it. It works great to eliminate the water spots I previously got with my softened well water.

The bottom does not screw down all the way and will not fit in a 10" canister. The company I bought it from has never responded to my questions.

Make sure to clean the threads on the cap off then tighten firmly. Works like a champ.

I keep buying these for my r.o. system because to me it seems to contain the best resin on the market and I tried many to keep my tds meter reading 0. It also color changes on point. A lot of other resins will color change to early or not much at all. Will continue to get these cartridges for my r.o. system.
