No plastic, no fine sediment passing through the filter.
The stainless coffee filter works great. No plastic within the filter. There is only a silicone top ring that helps hold the filter in place over the coffee pot. The water to brew it’s does not touch the silicone ring. No fine sediment or coffee grounds passed through to the coffee. I am extremely happy with this purchase and I recommend it to others.

Exactly what I was hoping for.
I'm writing this the day I received it and I've only used it twice so this is just based on first impressions, but I spent an eternity trying to figure out which metal filter to buy and I finally settled on this one. I wanted to make sure to write a review for anyone else struggling through the same process. I really wanted something that could replace my paper filters without being low quality, making a bad cup, or being too much of a pain to deal with.Highlights:-This fits perfectly in my Hario V60-The rubber ring is removable, which is great because I don't need it. But it's a very nice ring that fits very snuggly. I could always put it back on if I change my mind.-The mesh is VERY fine and nothing seems to get through. There's no sludge in the bottom of my cup.-The seams are very smooth and everything feels high quality. This is exactly what I would expect for the money. I have no complaints. It seems like something that will last for years.-It's very easy to clean. I don't know if it will get harder to clean over time (it seems like it might) but it's currently very easy.-My coffee tastes great! I was worried it would impact the taste, but this is better than my french press. I was worried I wouldn't like it as much as my hario paper filters but it still makes a very good cup of coffee.Negatives-It does seem to drain slightly faster than the hario paper filters, but this doesn't effect taste. My coffee doesn't seem any weaker, but I figured it was worth mentioning. I'm a little worried I'm getting less caffeine per cup but I can't tell by taste.-I think this will require a little extra tlc to get clean every week or two. I currently can't speak to how much of a pain this will be. It's hard to tell how much the oils and the finest grounds are going to want to stick to this over time. (I have a cleaning powder, I think Cafiza, that will hopefully make the job easier.) But it's coming clean pretty effortlessly right now.I'll definitely have to come back once I've been using it for awhile and let you know if it holds up, but I don't have any complaints yet. It's exactly what I was hoping for. I chose this in part because it was one of the few filters I saw that has a website. I figured that was a good sign because so many things on amazon are from brands that exist only here and show up looking nothing like the product photo. What you see is exactly what you get and it's sold by the manufacture. It all seems very legit. If my filter's still going strong after a few months I'll probably buy a second one to have as a back up.

No more paper filters!
I bought this for my Bodum Pour Over (1L). I didn't like the one that came with the Bodum (too much sediment), and paper filters didn't fit properly. This filter sits right at the edge of the Bodum's opening, so if you have any other pour over, be sure to measure it to be certain of the fit. The filter has a rubbery ring around it's edge so it stays secure, and so you don't burn yourself taking it off the pour over. The inner filter is an extremely fine mesh, so fine in fact, if you run your finger over it, you can't feel the mesh. It can filter particles down to 40 microns, where paper filters are 10-20 microns. No bits of coffee ground in the coffee. Yea!If you are used to paper filters, you may notice the coffee has more "body". That's because this filter allows the coffee oils through where paper absobs them. You may need to adjust your coffee to water ratio slightly to account for it.My only complaint is that it can be a tad messy to get the used grounds out of the filter. Most of it will come out but knocking the filter on the edge of the garbage can, but some sticks to the filter, and they have to get rinsed out. I would also recommend a coffee specific cleaner (like cafiza) to give that super fine mesh a good deep clean occasionally.I highly recommend this filter.

Exactly what I wanted and needed
I have a combo French press / pour through. Not sold anymore. Close the valve to the upper section, pour water into the upper section after spooning in coffee into a paper filter, let it steep like a French press, open the valve and it comes out into your coffee cup like a pour through. My biggest issue is the paper filter takes away a lot of the flavor and of course, all the trees..... This helps tremendously! It acts like a paper filter only it's not paper. And it doesn't withhold the taste like the paper filters do. The coffee comes out tasting like it came from a French press. Which I have and I like but I like this better. If you want this for your pour through, it'll be perfect. The best of both worlds! And it fits my cone perfectly!! It's easy to use, not difficult to empty the used coffee out of it into the green waste bin, and the design is perfect for what I need. I also like the fact that it's reusable over and over again.

Inside mesh
Filter is decent. Inside mesh comes loose quick and needs to be replaced. Only lasted me about 2 months.
