Panasonic Expandable Corded/Cordless Phone System with Answering Machine and One Touch Call Blocking – 2 Handsets - KX-TGB852B (Black)

I’ve been using this Panasonic KX-TGF352N Corded/Cordless Phone System for almost two years, and it’s been working perfectly. The clear sound and the clip on the cordless handset are very convenient. The corded base is perfect for those moments when you don’t want to chase after the cordless phone. The speaker and regular call quality are excellent. The answering machine works well, and the overall functionality is simple and user-friendly. I even bought an additional handset after losing one (oops!). Very happy with this purchase!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I ordered these cordless phones almost 2 years ago from amazon i believe 2 sets of phones same model numbers and ever since we got them i've had nothing but problems with both sets of phones. for the first 6 months they were great now ever since then they are absolutely horrible and i always had complete trust with panasonic just like wwith amazon and hp. the one set of cordless phones just got a snowy cover where its supposed to give you the caller id and my set the one phone doesnt even ring i've missed so many important medical calls because the ones in the bedroom the other living room and i get them mixed up which one is which. i would like to order new home phones but the past couple of times with phones i had lots of problems and they were supposed to be under warranty at the time 2 years ago when i started contacting you guys about these phones but nobody ever helped me not once. so thank you kindly, if i could get some sort of a discounted price on 2 cordless phone for my home maybe i can order them. i live on disability which i pay rent, electric, insurance all the utilities and i only get $938 a month to live on so its very very hard for me with suchh a low amount to live on. tyvm again, roberta

This is a nice phone/answering machine combo with clean design. The base unit and the wireless handsets do not have a lot of buttons to press. In particular, the large red "Call Block" button is a nice touch. Most functions are carried out via the Menu system. But then, there are downsides to this style. First of all, keep in mind that the rectangle display window is not a touch screen. In general, working through the Menu system is rather awkward and tedious. Also, users must use the wireless handset in order to set Date/Time on the base unit. It can't be done directly on the base unit. In addition, the maker of this device should have included a "Home" option or something in the menu system to allow users to jump directly to the initial menu function without having to take several steps back repeatedly. Users of this device should read the included manual very thoroughly. Overall, the sound quality is good on both ends. But I've been told that the pre-recorded message with British accent on the answering machine is rather disgusting. Actually, I like it because it could keep spammers away. In sum, most users might like this machine once they have mastered all the quirks over time. I think the price I paid was not bad, but it could be better.

The sound level on both the base and the handset isn't acceptable. Both have volume controls for settings from 1 to 5. Level 3 is barely audible and I have good hearing. Level 5 is barely adequate. It won't work for my 90 year old Mom, even with her hearing aids. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it.

Reasonably priced for new business like mine, this was best fit and it is working great.

Got this system to replace an older Panasonic system I purchased like 10 years ago. On the old system retrieving messages were simple and one button press to delete message while listening or when it was done. These units have you go through three screens to get to the delete current message and usually if you wait for the message to end it is too late to delete. Getting to all the different options if just so many more key presses than before!!!Access code function does not work, at least for me. Tried from another land line and cell phone - does nothing.Sound quality is just terrible in the handsets. So garbled you can't really understand.I missed my return window by 2 days!!!! Goodwill it goes. I just put my older system back in and all is well - will just put new batteries in them (the ones still hold a charge good enough for at least 1 hour talk) so they will last much longer.So, if you get, test really well so you don't pass the return window.

I got the cell2jack to turn my cell phone back into a desk phone. I ordered the desk phone plus two cordless additions. Now I can break my smartphone addiction. Well worth it!
