Sacred Moong Dal and the Hare Krishna Concept of Jiva
These are the best moong dal I’ve ever known in the USA. They originate from a Hare Krishna devotee in Texas, which makes them sacred and blessed. In the Hare Krishna tradition, the term “Jiva” refers to the individual soul—a distinct, eternal spiritual entity separate from the material body. According to Vaishnava philosophy, the Jiva originates from the tatastha region, meaning it exists at the boundary between the spiritual and material worlds. The Jiva is considered eternally connected to Krishna, but due to material conditioning, it may become entangled in the cycle of birth and death. Through devotional service (bhakti) and surrender to Krishna, the Jiva can transcend material existence and return to its original spiritual state.

I started eating mung beans over a year ago. Love them.
The only bean that I know of that doesn't cause gas. My GI system is a mess and added gas is something I do not need. With the right spices and you can make anything with these. My favorite is Hummus. Just start with some olive oil, add spices including salt and pepper, your favorite broth (no water please), roasted red peppers, jalapenos and a can of chilies. Mix in a food processor and eat. Don't forget to add some lemon juice.

I use it to make faux “just” egg
I use this to make faux “just egg” for a fraction of the cost. I love that the moong Dahl is organic and it seems to be a great deal compared to other brands. I’ve bought it several times and will again.

Nice mild beans
I use these mung beans to make vegan scrambled eggs. The flavor is really mild and mostly easy to hide. The consistency is little more paste and dense than the ready made vegan eggs, but you can make it taste super yummy. Definitely worth keeping on hand when ready made eggs aren't available or to save a ton of money.
