Wood sculpting tools: Smooth, smells woody and seems to be bamboo. Wood handle small ball tools: faint wood smell. Smooth metal ball ends Silicone tipped tools: Silicone is very soft. Faint smell on opening. Large ball tools: Metal balls are smooth, no seams. Rubber grip center. Heavy. An excellent variety of tools for a beginner. They seem very well made and should last if cleaned, dried and stored well between use, especially the wooden tools.
