Foam head breaks down quite easily
I absolutely love my Roland TD-27 KV2... Without a doubt the weakest link of the kit is the KD-10 Kick drum. Over time the foam head will dent in creating a permanent divot in the head, and it affects the trigger performance. I've tried plastic beaters, felt beaters etc.. Currently I'm on the third replacement head over the two years I've had the kit. I'd love to upgrade the kick drum eventually. But upgrading is very costly. so I guess I'll keep the foam heads in stock and replace them once a year.
