My wife and I like to minimize using air conditioning. Our house would usually still be warm at night from the heat that had built up during a sunny day. It seemed silly to turn on the air conditioning if it was in the high 70F in the house at night when it was in the 60F outside. I purchased 3 of these for the 3 windows in our Master Bedroom. I open all 3 windows only about 10 inches and use these fans to blow in the cool outdoor night air. All 3 are just sitting on the window sill and not mounted into the window. Our room cools down pretty quickly blowing in the cool night air. I close the window and turn off the fans in the morning and the room stays relatively cool until mid afternoon without air conditioning. Other reviewers who have said these do not generate a strong breeze or move a lot of air are correct, but they move enough air to pull in the cool night if left on as soon as it cools down outside. They seem to be pretty quiet to us even though we have 3 of them running at the same time. They are not silent which might bother some people, but they don't seem any louder than a white noise machine that some people like to use to mask other sounds to help with sleep.

Longest stretching fan for window I could find. All functions work well, really needed it for exhaust more than anything to pull air. Would suggest adding a box fan in room facing fan if you really need to move air. Downside is after less than a year having it, the on/speed button is almost kicked. Have to press it really hard “with feeling” or use the remote. But the remote back is relatively cheap plastic so be careful putting batteries in

This fan looks and feels cheap, is not powerful at all, and most importantly, does not actually fit into sliding windows.Many window fans have a "slot" on one side and a "tab" on the other so it neatly nests into the window opening. This fan does not, which means it easily falls out the window.Mine fell and both the blades broke off, rendering the fan inoperable. Doesn't really matter because this fan was a piece of crap anyway.

The fan works great, but at the long run, it breaks the blades of the fan, even though you don’t use it that much within the years of period that I bought it. I know that it does not work forever and ever, but at least you be satisfied with it.

These fans are great if you understand them. Meaning you must understand that is a fan that is blowing outside when it’s hot inside to pull the hot hair out. Not like a fan that is blowing air on you. Although it is reversible and you can make it blow indoors should you decide. Also it is important to know if you are a new user to this type of fan that if you have a double window be certain to keep the window that is adjacent to the window the fan is and closed. Otherwise you just circulate the same air. If you’ve had experience with this type of fan you know that if you don’t you may not realize it. Love it actually purchased another.

I put this in my girlfriends room to remove fumes and other smells from her art studio. This fan works great. We probably put about 100 hours on it so far no problem. I particularly like the mode that allows one fan to blow one way and another fan to blow another way.
