Thing was spraying water everywhere. Pulled it off and double checked o-rings. Yep, in place. Reassembled and sprayed water everywhere. Pulled apart again and tightened the coupler together with the internal hex fitting, nice and tight. Reassembled and sprayed water everywhere. Pulled apart yet again and disassembled fitting to inspect inner o-ring. Looked ok. Reassembled and sprayed water everywhere. Swapped it with a cheap $7 brass fitting from HD and not a drop to be seen anywhere. It looks like a nice piece but there is an internal machining flaw that is not allowing the internal o-ring to seal the two halves together.

We bought an automatic dog watered that had a male garden hose fitting, this made hooking up to a standard garden hose simple. This fitting it well made and smooth threads make it easy to hook up a male to male thread setting.

Professional grade coupler that can stand pressure without leak if well installed . I used to connect an air compressor to a male hose type connection and it works . So easy to manoever on and off the hose . Made for a very durable shiny metal that is hard to scratch . It is really well built. Recommend

This is one of those garden accessories that aren't needed every day but often enough that it makes sense to have at least one in the shed.I have used a couple of other designs in the past. Usually, they are made from solid brass, and they hold up well, except that to get the collars really tight, I need to use water pump pliers. With this one, I can use two wrenches (monkey wrench/smooth-jawed adjustable wrench), which are easier to use and don't cause any damage to the steel. I get both sides sealed off tight at the same time.► Because the whole thing, less the silicone seals, is made of stainless steel, this isn't going to corrode even after 20 years. I'll be going through some seals, but the adapter will remain in working condition.While both ends are made to fit the standard 3/4 inch male hose ends, you can see in the image that the inside does restrict water flow due to its construction. The hexagonal center is how both ends are fastened together, and in order to do this properly, there needs to be a fair bit of steel for the machines to work with. So, while it will last for decades, it will always slightly reduce water flow.As I write this review, the adapter is selling for $30.61, which, while on the high side, is not bad for something that will probably outlast me.
