Wine Dispenser/Aerator Pump

This thing is really neat! Bought it as a gift and my Mom got a kick out of it. Two things I disliked: the tube that sucks the wine up needs to be longer, it only reached a little over half way on the large bottle of wine my Mom typically drinks. Also, the wine dispensing tube also needs to be a bit longer. Because it was too short, the wine splatters a bit, but it's not too bad. The wine comes out beautifully aerated, and the novelty of having a pump is fun! She will probably only use this only when company is over, so we will see how it holds up!

OK, this is funny. I had owned two pump wine aerators before. They worked by pumping air bubbles into the bottle for 30 seconds or so. Worked great. But, they each wore out over time. I couldn't find exact replacements so I bought this one. Naturally, I set up to do the same with this new one. Disaster! Wine everywhere! :-) I thought maybe I put the batteries in backwards, but no. Then I read reviews and it was working as intended.I had tried a couple of those aerate-as-you-pour gadgets and taste tests told me they did nothing discernible. I was skeptical of this approach of aerating as you dispense, but a simple taste test proved it works.It is comical-looking, noisy and splattery. It reduces the elegance of the wine tasting experience to a cheap carnival side show, but it I have to admit it does the job.

Has nice flow rate, and does seem to change the flavor of wine by aeration, or so i'm told by the person I gifted it to.

Very cheep looking didn't work very well at all. Threw it in trash and saved China the shipping.

I love wine gadgets and had actually bought this as a gift for a friend. However, after receiving it, I just had to try it out first. I love it!!! The only issue I have is that it doesn't reach the very bottom of the wine bottle, so it definitely doesn't reach the bottom of a magnum.Some helpful hints:The batteries that are included does not last so make sure you have some on hand. (3-AAA)The telescoping part may bay be difficult to pull out at first (it only extends twice).If the glass is small you will have some splatter so make sure the glass is tilted and wine is poured onto the side of the glass.Purchase more than one and have a few bottles of wine, everyone is going to love it and want to try it. That means they will be drinking faster!

It is of better quality than my first purchase of a more expensive product that broke on first use
