Bernie Mev Women's, Lulia Slip-On

I have owned Bernie Mev shoes in this style before and wore them completely out! These are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own! I wear a lot of beige and browns and so I purchased these knowing that they would have a gold look to them and they did not disappoint! My back is not comfortable in flat shoes so the wedge heel works for my back and they look nice in the office. I typically wear a size 8.5 – 9 and that is what I ordered. They fit perfectly. The mesh uppers are elasticized and so as the day goes on and my feet swell, they still fit great without squeezing. The synthetic soles grip well and do not slide even when wet. If the uppers get wet, they dry quickly and do not discolor. You have to try these to believe how comfortable they are.

Bernie Mev... I can't say enough! I'm a bartender on weekends and, as many of us in the service industry know, SAFE, comfy AND CUTE are like the holy grail of shoe finds... but let me tell you... this is my 2nd pair (in a year) and I have to say... THESE ARE A GOD-SEND! I wear heels most of my waking hours in my other "real" job (9-5 M-F) and wearing the flat, sensible, UGLY shoes that are out there for servers... well- they did terrible things to my back! I spent 100s of dollars on shoes trying out what others had recommended and nothing worked. Finally... someone suggested that I try something with a little lift to see if that helped. HOLY-WALKING-ON-CLOUDS!!! These are my fave by far. I'm hard on my work shoes... I stand full time for at least 10-hour shifts and these are SO COMFORTABLE! My back feels great... my hips and calves feel great! They are amazing shoes! Annnnnnd... I get tons of compliments from customers about my "cute shoes." YESSSSSSSSSSSS! So if you're not a bartender and you're just in search of some cute and comfy (and extremely well-made) shoes. PICK THESE PICK THESE!! They hold up well and you won't be sorry!

I love these long-wearing shoes as they are very comfortable despite high heel. Please note that the ankle can roll and injury result if one is not careful. The heal is not reinforced and is very wide. The instep top strap is a little large for me but your situation may be different. I took some tucks with thread to reduce the size. These run a little SMALL by 1/2 to one full size. That is, the footbed is a little tight/short.

I love the look of these shoes on. They have a very appealing style and I am not sacrificing comfort for that style. Actually these shoes are almost as comfortable as my Sketchers Go Walk. As for the sizing, I am a size 8, so I ordered the 38's. I feel as though they are running a bit small, but I am also concerned that if I have to go up a full size (no half sizes) that the size 39 might be a bit too big. I may experiment and order the 39's next time to be 100 percent certain of my correct size. I definitely will purchase another pair in the near future.

For me these shoes are so perfect. They hug my feet all around ( I do have wide foot) and also suffer from insertional tendinitis- the back of my heel hurts in most of shoes. This one stretches at all the right places and the wedge is very very comfortable. This is my second pair, the first one I wore till the sole started to disintegrate - in about 4 years.

I bought these because the St. John's Bay Karma was discontinued. Keep in mind that the Karma was a knock-off of the Bernie Mev Lulia... but the Bernie Mev can't hold a candle to the SJB Karma. The Bernie Mev has a memory foam foot bed that makes the shoe unstable. SJB's design, though the difference is not noticeable when just visually comparing the shoes, is flattering to the foot and, somehow provides a contoured look that the Bernie Mev does not provide. Also, the UK sizing that's supposed to match a US size 10 proved "short".

I have 5 pair, all types; the fabric like shoe is much more comfy, but these (bronze & silver) are more metallic and the material has a somewhat "scratchy" feel to them. There is some friction on your feet, especially your toes, since the pressure tends to rest on the front of your feet with any heel. The good news is, they become less "scratchy" and "stiff" feeling over time (the more you wear them), but the cloth types are soft from the beginning. The sizes are not always consistent and are sometimes off by about half a size; try them on first, don't assume! They are soft, to the point of being a little "mushy" and I happen to like a durable, yet soft and comfy shoe (Alegria or Fly London), they look nice and are a good go to shoe, but not more comfy or durable than the Algeria or Fly London. You will make it through the day in them, but you might slip your feet in and out of them a couple of times during the break-in period. As a teacher, they are great, but if you are a nurse, you may opt for the flat Bernie Mev, your work day is fast paced & hectic quite often and I wouldn't advise it. Algeria or Fly London for you!

I love this brand!! 4th pair... different style. Now I have a pair for every occasion. There so comfortable and so worth the price! Best fit from the first day but without the blisters. 😊

VERY VERY GOOD,USEFUL

I have worn Bernie Mev's for close to 5 years and would not choose to wear anything else. They are versatile for any occasion and I have had so many compliments over the years about these shoes. Most importantly, you can walk in them all day and not have hurting feet at the end of the day.
