Bad azz
I give this thing 5 stars, If you're any type collector or just the guy who always carry a knife...get this. You won't regret it. It's light, sharp, carbon fiber handle...it's just cool.I even had a when I asked if he sold ceramic folding knives. He said no and went into his sh-piel about why he wouldn't carry a ceramic knife...all the things people say when they haven't experienced it for themselves, but "heard". I pulled this one out and let's just say, his body language contradicted his previous statements about the downside of ceramic. He looked like a kid at Christmas He called over his adult son too - he started molesting my knife too! The black glossy finish of the blade was deceiving...they thought it had metal in it. These guys couldn't stop ogling it. Oh yeah, the whole ceramic brittle theory was put to the test - accidentally just before this whole incident. My buddy was handling the knife as we walked up and when he went to hand it back to me, i accidentally knocked it out of his hand...it fell...in slow motion....it fell...over four feet....clank clank clank....hit the asphalt pavement. I swear...it was like the scene from Christmas Story where Ralphie lost the lug nuts in the snow...I wasn't sure if the blade was going to be chipped, cracked, or just broken in two pieces. I picked up the knife and guess what...where's Borat..."Great success!". It held up. Not even the handle sustained damage. So there it is.Of course, if you buy this type of blade, hopefully YOU KNOW IT IS NOT A PRY TOOL. I have a Schrade 10 for tougher jobs! :-) but for cutting needs, this has made quick work of several boxes already.I had seen Boker German steel kitchen knives before and they looked ok. I say bravo Boker...or should it be Danka shan!

Great every day carry.
I was looking for an everyday carry knife, i have a new job that requires me to be in a shirt and tie so this clean cut knife works great. This knife has top quality materials carbon fiber and ceramic. Ceramic is super sharp but brittle so this knife is great for light duty jobs.(not that its not tough but i wouldn't want to chip the ceramic) Cutting tape, paper, cardboard and other soft materials that don't require much force. This knife feels good and has a sharp edge. Ceramic is harder to sharpen but its edge will last longer and i will most likely be using the diamond sharpener. This knife is exactly what i wanted a light, clean looking, light duty, sharp knife. Is sits deep in my pocket and does not stand out. its also not bad just having it sit in your pockets not clipped on. If you are looking for a knife to beat up this is not it. but if you want something super light, sharp, and sleek this is what you need.

Nice light knife.
I am very impressed with the overall quality of this knife for the money. It looks and feels very nice. The knife comes in a nice magnetic lid box with the blade open and a cleaning cloth to get all the finger prints off of the mirror finish blade. (of course people can't help putting their fingers on shiny stuff!)It's super light for it's size. The blade opens very smooth and can be done with a flick of the wrist. The liner lock is easy to operate, No problems with sticking or anything like that.I was not expecting it to be super sharp, It's sharp enough, but all of my benchmades and kershaws came sharper. There is a reason for this. Ceramic is brittle! If you make the edge too thin it will chip too easily. Ceramic blades are great for abrasive materials (rope, cardboard) but they are not for heavy duty use. And despite what you may have heard they WILL go dull. You can send them to Boker to be resharpened for the cost of shipping. If you want a nice light, light duty knife. This one is great. If you want a tough do all EDC, Look elsewhere.

Superb quality, construction
Light as a feather, sharp as a razor, well balanced. It took a few tries, the 3rd time was a charm, thanks to Amazon's excellent customer service I finally received the knife that was expected. The first knife had a centimeter long scratch just by the logo, & with closer examination there was a flaw in the concave portion of the blade. I exchanged it & the replacement knife, though the blade was ok, it appeared refurbished, not new & was not as sharp as I was hoping for, in addition the handle looked like it had been stepped on, dragged across the floor of the Port Authority Bus Terminal! It was scratched beyond belief! At first, I negotiated a discount but it was just was not enough. After stepping up my complaint to a supervisor, she not only sent me a NEW knife without any problems but I got it the next day! Every company will have issues, I do resent being sent two copies pawned off to me by Boker, that evidently were refurbished, however I do applaud Amazons customer service for resolving the problem quickly & to my great satisfaction. Caveat emptor!
