No negatives during long haul flight
I bought these for my first long haul flight. I'm not really sure what other people experience, but I had no pain or discomfort at all so I suppose these worked and did their job. I also get clausterphobic on planes and my toes just need to be free and move around so these were great for wearing with wedges and allowing my toes movement. Sizing was good and they were comfortable. I feel they were thick and really high quality. Airplane temperatures can really vary, but my legs never felt too hot or too cold in these.

Game changer!!!! No more summer cankles!
I purchased these in anticipation of an upcoming 5 hour flight and the fact that I would be wearing open-toed shoes. I waited until just before boarding to put them on and was pleasantly surprised at the immediate relief I felt. I didn't realize my legs and feet were achy but it had already been a long morning between transport from parking to the airport, long TSA lines, then walking through the huge terminal to get to our boarding area. Then the real test, the long flight, during which I was seated the entire time and only got up once to let the person in the window seat get up. Upon arriving at my destination, I felt no pain and I had minimal swelling in my feet and ankles. I normally don't wear compression socks in the summer because they aren't fashionable but these almost match my skin tone and don't look as orthopedic as I feared. I have a desk job so summertime is always difficult with the swelling. I think these are going to be part of my daily outfit from now on. They are just too comfortable and do the trick. The other thing I liked is that while they fit snug and were difficult at first to get on and off, I found that rolling them on and off rather than tugging at them like I would normally do is the way to go. When I take them off, I surprisingly don't have marks on my legs where the elastic band held them on. They are good quality, the thickness is just right. You will not regret these!

Very comfortable but color doesn’t match listing pics…
I purchased these because I suffer from varicose veins in my legs. I wanted them for the dual purpose of easing some pain and swelling, as well as wearing for aesthetic purposes to coverup the ugly varicose veins in my legs when I’m wearing shorts or capris. They serve their purpose very well for the first issue; but as far as wearing with shorts I do not feel comfortable because they are too dark and don’t closely enough match my skin color. This is why I am not rating them 5 stars, because in the pics from the seller they appear a MUCH LIGHTER nude color than what I actually received, which was more of a medium tan color…

Too small for me, but would have kept otherwise
I bought and returned 2 different sizes of these. I got them Soni could still wear compression socks with sandals in the summer and they worked great for that, but I am a plus size lady and they were too tight. They are the same material as pantyhose, just thicker, so if you are looking for something closer to sock material this isn't it. However, if you find a size that fits you, these would probably be great.

No length in the foot!!
I bought 20 - 30 mmHg figuring that for the fact I'm a big boned Danish man of 5' 10 1/2" would easily cover my foot properly. My toes are completely exposed so there's no compression near the end. When buying a foreign made shoe: we'll say 'new balance' and my shoe size is 11 1/2...then these compression socks would give me plenty of ankle room and toe length. These Doc Miller's are small!! Just remember that. They run about 2 inches small in the length for this size compression sock. I of course bought the size they recommended: larger than what I knew my calf size would be (when it is swollen with edema) and it's still waaaay too short. (See my two photos) There is very little ankle weave, in length. My toes are completely exposed. I would put THEIR SHOE SIZE length at 9'. Nowhere near my 10 1/2" foot. Folks, let's face it...we've heard it 1000 times… You get what you pay for, so buy a more expensive sock with all excellent reviews. Do not be foolish like me...Update: day two...they're used so unfortunately, I can't return them. 40 plus smackers down the tubes.
