What are all the straps for? The strap on bottom with a hook? The little clips on the side straps?

Not sure about the bottom strap with hook. Didn't actually notice it while installing. The top strap goes through your center console between front seats. It fits really well in my Subaru Crosstrek and is super nice so far.

Does it break down? How easy is it to store inside your vehicle

Yep it folds flat....does not hold much trash that way though.... :O
