Ok .. this is not a cheap unit, but does a great job and is soooooo worthwhile.In the past we had only used 1 of the 'heat pump' style dryer, being from Canada, we're used to dumping a whole lot of energy out of the house through a 4" hole in the wall. Our first heat pump was in Denmark and it spent most of it's time warming the bathroom to uncomfortable levels.This Samsung does a fantastic job. There does not appear to be a lot of waste heat, as the laundry room doesn't get crazy-warm during use. Even though ours can use a wall-drain, we have ours using the water-tank for the waste water, and it's a really good system if needed.I was a bit worried when I put on the 3h 'mixed load' dryer program the first time, but then happily surprised that it had our clothes dried fully in 1 hour. Ok we're in UAE, so 25c indoors might be helping that quicken up.We are planning to get one of these units when we return to Canada as I'm sure we'll save on electricity enough to pay for the whole unit !

I am terribly disappointed in this dryer. Samsung changed the design of the heat exchanged meaning it can no longer be removed to be properly cleaned. Net result is a very difficult to clean exchanger causing endless issues with the functioning of the dryer. Then they also dropped the price by using substandard components. I had a water pump failure which cost me Dh 750 to repair. The service person mentioned that this a very common issue in this dryer. Third, the drum would stop rotating mid-cycle and the drying would get interrupted. Eventually, I was forced to replace the dryer and I am going with one that is NOT Samsung.Update: While the water pump failure occurred just after the expiry of the 3 year warranty on the machine, the dryer continued to have problems after fixing the pump. Now the machine started sending out "Check Motor" messages. While the motor is supposed to be under a 20 year warranty, when I contacted Samsung they responded that I will still need to pay a visit and inspection fee and will need to cover any repair costs of any part that is not the motor. They also did not guarantee that they will replace the motor under the warranty. Hence, we need to regard any extended warranty on an individual component with great suspicion since this allows the manufacturer to conduct warranty repairs while still passing on costs to the customer, who has no way to confirm that claimed additional repair was really needed. This has been a very important learning for me.

Very solid and qualitative appliance.Quiet and adaptive, can reduce drying time according to load. Easy to clean filter.

Love the way drying my clothes

Everything is great as you would expect with this brand. However, there is one thing they have missed, but it's not only samsung, almost all brands forget this. Dryers should rotate in alternating directions to prevent clothes from getting twisted up. Everyone seems to have forgot this feature, although they all remember to make their washers do this. It is so annoying when i put my bedding in to dry, them when it's done, I open the door and it's just a massive tightly twisted lump of bedding. That is the only problem and why I only gave 3 stars.

Found it energy efficient and effective dryer. Did face an issue though; repeatedly kept getting the message to clean the heat exchanger despite having cleaned it. The message stopped appearing after a few days. Now it’s functioning fine.

Very nice people came to install it and so far so good. It works smoothly and I’m happy with my purchase.
