DMT FSKC Diafold Serrated Knife Sharpener - Coarse : desertcart.in: Home Improvement Review: I use DMT flat sharpeners for standard cutting tools but for serrated blades, hawksbill knives etc. the DMT tapered rod is by far the best. I'm originally for Western New York State , home of Cutco and Ontario Cutlery. The Cutco serrated blades are notoriously difficult to sharpen but the DMT does a great job. I suggest getting both the coarse and fine (blue and red) versions. It takes a little practice to get the right angle and width when sharpening serrated blades but once you get it figured out sharpening goes pretty quickly. One thing I particularly like about the DMT tool is the diamond chips are attached via brazing or something similar and they do not pull out of the matrix at all. I've probably sharpened 200 times with these tools and they cut just as well now as they did on day one. I also like the folding feature. Perfect for a quick touch up when out in the field. Review: Nce item that does the trick as described - it's taking a bit of trial and error but I am now having a very sharp bread knife It was not obvious how to open these as it seems that to do the handles could break. I thought there was some clever mechanism that needed to be released but in the end just a little brute force effort and they opened with a snap - but did not appear to break. They could be better designed that respect

great value and great for sharpening. the plastic cover needs some time to get to open and not sure if it will stand up to hard use, but time will tell.
