These pots are widely used guitar tone and volume controls.This linear-taper mixed blood pots control the signal mix from two pickups or sources, panning from one source to another.Metric sized pots mostly use in import guitar or Asia made guitar 6mm knurled split shaft fits a coarse-knurled (18-spline) knob. It will fit modern Squier/Epiphone/ibanez/ESP etc made in China/Korea/Japan guitar's stock knobs Metric sized M8 thread, 8mm diameter; Threaded portion height 10mm(3/8"); brass thread, aluminum shaft ;16.5mm( 5/8")diameter mini sized base. Standard solid construction Standard ±20% resistance tolerance. Generally,500K-ohm pots are used with humbuckers. You can use any value you like, but a 250K will give a slightly warmer tone than a 500K pot. Package includes 2pcs potentiometers, nuts and washers

Perfect replacement for my Ibanez SR500 volume pot

The Ibanez stock potentiometers aren't the best (common complaint) and over time the volume pot has started to exhibit dead spots near the top of the volume range and is scratchy as hell - which is bad when playing live shows. At first I tried to hit it with some switch cleaner and it got rid of the scratchy but not the dead spots. I decided to just replace it myself after taking a look at the existing pot which was marked B25K. The post of this replacement was not solid like the one I took out but the knob anchors to it just fine without issue. The height is perfect and it works perfectly as well! Couldn't be happier with this purchase - I can do volume swells again!!

What could go wrong with new potentiometers?

Ordered 2. One worked perfectly, the other is a spinner. Of course I didn’t check for THAT until it was installed.
