Great product great price
Initially had issue with activation code for the device. The service team was prompt in resolving this for me. The device works great on my Hyundai. Bluetooth connection was seamless, a complete scan took less than two minutes. The iOS interface is much easier that a tethered scanner. I should be able to reset the car brakes to replace the pads from the device. This product is easier to use and cheaper than any of the bidirectional scanners you will find at local auto shops.

This things a beast...
This thing is pretty powerful to be so small. The Xtool Anyscan A30D is a Bluetooth device you plug into the OBDII Port of your car and connect to your phone or tablet using the Anyscan app. This little scanner scans all systems on all makes and models of vehicles. It performs 11 special functions or resets including BMS, Injector Coding, ABS Bleeding, SRS Reset, Steering Angle Sensor Adjust, Service/Maintenance Light Reset, Gearbox Match, EPB Reset, Gear Learning, DPF, and TPMS. All you do is download the software for the vehicles you have and for all the Special Functions you want or need. It not only finds the problems in your vehicles but it also gives detailed information about those problems. It allows you to take pictures or record the data from your vehicle to access later or to send to a email address. This little thing gives a lot of functionality and data for it's size and price. I leave it plugged into my car all the time and it never kills the battery, it doesn't even drain the battery at all. While it's plugged in it shows the voltage of the battery at all times on the front of the scanner. It does just as much if not more than most of those bigger scanners with screens on them. The software or app for phones and tablets is great and has a really nice setup. It looks just like the software on the big Xtool Scanners with screens built-in. Oh and it also has a built-in LED light that you turn on by holding in a hidden button on either side of the scanner. If your looking at this scanner and having a hard time trying to decide whether to get it or not then yes go ahead and get it. It's a great scanner!!!

Huge bang for your buck here! Stop browsing and try this one out!
I've tried many an OBD-II scanner. From the first Bluetooth models that paired with Android Torque, to some of the newer dealer clones. I must say, this device shows great promise. The tech support is relatively responsive, depending on the time of day. There are a lot of language breaks in the software, but once you're used to those then you'll be working just fine. You WILL need quite a bit of space on your device if you want to download ALL of the manufacturer modules. Each car manufacturer has its' own download, along with some of the other functions having their own module. The software works pretty well, but definitely there's a lot of room for improvement. However, it's still a huge value. In testing my aunt's Lexus Hybrid, just connecting to the engine module and getting live data took about 60 seconds to pull all of the data. But there were seriously around 900 data points that were queried. This thing is seriously way beyond any scanner you've used before. It will connect to any number of independent systems in the car, provide live data for each, as well as scanning for fault codes not otherwise shown on generic scanners. The best part is that there are a ton of actuation tests that you can perform. But you must be careful with these, and make 100% sure you know what you're doing. You could definitely screw your vehicle up if you just go poking around and trying different actuation tests. Depending on which device you purchase (the devices themselves are identical) -- you'll get a license code that will enable certain of the special functions. If you plan to use on multiple cars, then get the most expensive one -- you'll get plenty of use out of it. Get yourself a good protective case for the unit also (it should come with one, seriously.). Save the tiny piece of paper that comes with it (or take a picture). Using an iPad is the optimal experience, but again you'll need a bunch of free space. I got free space errors even when I had 128GB free on my 256GB iPad so it can be finicky for some reason. If you have a technical mind then you will be in heaven with this device. With free lifetime updates, this is a major steal and you should jump on it now! I bought one for myself and one for my father. Don't wait... Just click and buy! You can always return it if you dislike it for some reason! (Plus it has a flashlight built into the adapter! Major WIN! LOL. The device is very well built and not flimsy feeling in the least bit). You can generate exports in PDF format of all of the data collected in live scans, but you cannot export raw data from a capture. This is the only big downside in my opinion. If you're trying to diagnose something and want to review live data, the best you'll get is reviewing it on-screen after recording. It even has space to enter your business details so they can be added into the PDF reports. Huge huge value, no kidding. I was not compensated or encouraged to leave this review. Good luck! --Josh

Super customer service and quality tool
The tool is very informative about different data you need about your car status. The Bluetooth connection is fast and stable. The app is easy to navigate. The data seem reliable as consistent with measurements from other device. The only thing can be improved is to add quick start instruction in the packaging. But their customer service is super and very prompt to reply my questions. That is why I still give 5 stars.Overall a professional level tool with a reasonable price, and peace of mind knowing that you will be helped when you need it.

Sorry-Can't Recommend
This should be a great product--a computer module coupled to a customer's iPad that provides all the functionality of a much more expensive analyzer. Unfortunately, the software is buggy. When trying to do an ABS brake bleed on my 2007 Dodge Dakota, the software would kick me out of the program every time I tried to activate the function. Customer service was responsive--i was given a link to a beta site where their software developers were trying to work out the kinks. The beta software worked better--didn't kick me out of the program--but still failed to activate the ABS valves as it should have. One gets the definite impression that customers are a key part of their beta software testing. For a product selling for more than $150, that shouldn't be the case. Sent back for refund.
