ViewSonic TD2423D 24 Inch 1080p 10-Point Multi IR Touch Screen Monitor with Eye Care HDMI, VGA, USB Hub and DisplayPort

One of the main selling points of this touch monitor is the Linux compatibility. For me I connected my new touch screen monitor to a Raspberry Pi 400 computer kit. I run Q4OS on my Pi 400 and everything worked out of the box. The touch works, the sound through the mini HDMI to the monitor works, and the USB ports work. I have a X86 tablet with Q4OS, and touch worked out of the box. That said I pretty sure if you were to connect this monitor to a X86 desktop with Linux as the main OS, I feel confident it would all work out of the box.

Touch ONLY works with Mac's I now understand. Doesn't specifically say that in description or I wouldn't have bought it. Past the 30 days so now I can't send it back. :(

If your setting up a work station for a laser I would consider using a touch screen, it has made things so much easier, on screen keyboard and the on screen mouse is nice feature. the screen quality is very good, for the price its worth able to do things without a key board and mouse.

Everything from packaging, to set up, to resolution was fine with one paramount exception. The latest version of "vTouch" (the system extension required for touch screen feature on this ViewSonic monitor ), appears to be incompatible with Mac OS 15.6. I researched online support for ViewSonic, vTouch and Apple in an attempt to make this monitor work as an extension display on a 2025 MacBook Air M4. The vendor accepted the return and credited my account.

The multi touch functions great. The only issue is that it requires a USB connection. The monitor sits almost directly on the table surface this I had to make a small base to elevate it. The two extra UB ports are a nice touch. The resolution is pretty low.

Just wondering if anyone had expericed the ghost touch issue with this monitor? I would really appreciate if you could share the best solution to this. We are using these to our clinics and some of them have this issue.

I use this as a portable touch screen with the YoloBox and it works great!
