Simple, Elegant, and Great-sounding
A little bit on the bassy side of sound, but it's otherwise very high-quality. Music, games, movies, and even calls sound wonderful in it. I can't say the same for the microphone that comes in with one of the cables, as it tended to have a lot of white noise. Otherwise, the microphone was clear and my calls were audible with some noise cancellation, albeit it sucks to need that. The headset's comfortable enough to wear all day, as the cups are soft and the headband is quality. The cable length is great, but I wish it was a tad little longer for my case as my PC is under my desk and the cable barely reaches the headset on my head when seated a tad too far away from my desk. One of the cables also didn't last very long, as I had to switch to the other after half a year(?) of using it. Speaking of which, props to Corsair for bringing a mic cable and a non-mic cable for the headset. I love the simplicity of the headset - pure 3.5mm analog connection and no volume slider to worry about, like most other headphones. The VIRTUOSO was a solid buy.

Perfect Headset!!!!
I've been using the Corsair Virtuoso Pro headset for months now, and I can honestly say it's one of the best headsets I've ever owned. The sound quality is truly phenomenal the audio is so crisp and clear, making every detail pop. As someone who has always used closed-back headphones, this is my first experience with an open-back headset, and I absolutely love it. The design allows me to hear my surroundings more easily, which is great for staying aware of my environment, while the audio itself has a natural, expansive quality that's incredibly immersive. Despite being an open-back design, I've found that it barely leaks any sound, which is a huge plus. The versatility of this headset is fantastic, as it works amazingly with both my PC and my Xbox Series X. It comes with a mic attachment, which is a great bonus. The mic sounds pretty good for what it is, but for my primary use, I stick with my dedicated PC microphone. The build quality is top-notch, and the headset feels very premium and durable. Comfort is another major highlight. I've spent countless hours gaming and studying while listening to music, and the generous padding on the earcups and headband makes it one of the most comfortable headsets I've ever worn. I can wear it for extended periods without any fatigue. Seriously, every aspect of this headset is five stars in my book. I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, comfortable, and versatile audio experience.

For a flagship product, these were very disappointing.
I've been on the search for a solid wireless gaming headset, and after a ton of research, I decided to give the Corsair Virtuoso XT a shot. I ordered them along with the Corsair HS80s, and the Razer Blackshark V2, and sadly the Virtuoso XT's were the worst of the bunch. As a disclaimer, my product may have been used even though I bought them as new. The unboxing experience left me thinking that the headset had been tampered with, and none of the components were wrapped the way they were in the HS80s box. This is just a guess, but something felt off when I opened the box. The Positives: I liked that the earpads were replaceable. I was able to grab some aftermarket earpads from Wicked Cushions, and they were easy to install. The Bluetooth and wireless dongle simultaneous connection is the best feature about this headset. This was the main reason why I wanted to try these so badly. I love the thought of being able to play my game and not worry about missing a phonecall or important notification. The headset's separate controls located on the headset itself was also perfectly convenient. This feature worked great! The range was good enough for my small house. When I walked from one side of my small house to the other, I had 2 small hiccups at the furthest point, which isn't perfect, but it was good enough. This, however, was the worst of the 3 I tested as the HS80 and BlackShark V2 had no hiccups in the same distance. The Negatives: Comfort is seriously lacking for a headset this expensive. The headband might've actually been worse than the earpads. The way it pushed into my head was really uncomfortable, and even after about 30 minutes with them on, I had to take them off. I also have a big head, so that could be part of the reason for discomfort. The earpads were too shallow and didn't provide the comfort I wanted in a premium flagship product. This was something that I read in other reviews, so I purchased some Wicked Cushions replacements, and they were the perfect amount of padding needed on this headset. I much preferred the aftermarket pads to the stock, which again shouldn't be an issue at this price point. The sound quality was not good enough. It felt like they were wrapped in plastic wrap before being placed on my ears. Everything was so muffled and not clean. Adjusting the EQ made things better, but still not good enough for me to actually enjoy my game sound and music. Sidetone was way too low, but this seemed to be a theme with the wireless headsets I purchased. It was roughly the same as the HS80s, with the BlackShark V2 having by far the worst Sidetone of the 3. All 3 were definitely not loud enough to be effective. The mic quality wasnt what I had hoped and expected. They boasted a broadcast quality mic, so I was especially excited to get in and try it out, but some friends pointed out that the HS80s mic was much better than the Virtuoso XTs. It was still good enough for daily use, but I guess I just expected better quality with how much it was built up in the description. In comparison to my wired $80 Logitech G Pro headset, the Logitech was streets ahead, but that's also a possible unfair wired v. wireless comparison. The final negative, and by far the biggest red flag, was the connection consistently dropping out in weird ways. Multiple times, my sound would cut out in my discord party, but my mic would still be working. So they'd hear everything I said, but I wouldn't hear a word of what they said. I had to exit the party and come back in to fix it, and this would happen 4 more times in the 2 hours I had this headset on. A major deal breaker. Then sometimes as it be fidgeting with the party to fix this, I'd go back into my game and notice I had no sound in my game. I fixed this by minimizing my game and bringing it back up. So the problems would almost alternate back and forth as I fixed them, which was incredibly frustrating. That just can't happen with a $240 headset. Overall, I can't recommend this gaming headset at all. I think there are far too many problems to make the purchase feel worth it. When you spend $240+ on a headset, you want something that's great quality and that will work without issues. The underwhelming mic, bad sound quality, too low sidetone, and basic connection issues make the Virtuoso XTs a headset to avoid. Ive been told that no "good" wireless headsets exist yet, and the 3 I tested have so far only confirmed that theory. It really is a shame because I think Corsair did a great job with the simultaneous Bluetooth/Dongle connections, but that's not enough for me to overlook everything else.

after 10 months of use
The Corsair Virtuoso XT is a very well-built gaming headset with some standout strengths. Build quality is exceptional, and it feels premium in hand. The microphone is easily the best I’ve used on a gaming headset, comparable to some $60–$70 desk microphones, which is impressive. My main complaint is the stock earpads. They are too small, causing my ears to touch the drivers, which can be uncomfortable. However, the earpads are very easy to swap, so this isn’t a major issue. I ended up buying several replacements without any trouble. Out of the box, the default tuning lacks bass and sub-bass, but the Corsair EQ software and Dolby Atmos support work very well. The Dolby Access surround included with the headset is one of the few virtual surround solutions that actually feels useful. In games, latency is very low, and directional audio is excellent—you can clearly distinguish footsteps and positioning. They are a bit expensive for what they offer, and the sound quality could be better at full price. That said, if you can find them on sale, they are definitely worth it—especially if you value comfort, customization, and microphone quality over pure audiophile sound.

I have around 16 years of audio production and engineering history within my personal life. I used to own a pair of Sennheiser HD 700’s (RIP), I currently own a pair of Apple Airpods Max; and now these. So I think I can, humbly, say that I know a tiny bit on these topics. Upon opening the box, the packaging is great and includes everything you might need along with an excellent carry-case. The headphones are light and seem really well built, with premium materials. One of my biggest concerns when buying headphones is clamping force (because unfortunately, I wear glasses). I was pleasantly surprised that they have significantly less clamping force than the Apple Airpods Max. This is absolutely great because it doesn't squish my head like a vice. I tried using a custom ear cup set by “Wicked Cushions” that were thicker, which was a bit too harsh on the ears with additional clamping, so I replaced them back to the stock cups. The quality is mid-tier out of the box - not great; Not until you get into iCue or activate Dolby Atmos. You do this by going into Dolby Access and then customize your own EQ, and raise the low+high end frequencies. At that point, they sound great. The wireless connection is great; the dual-wireless connection is even greater. I absolutely love being able to chat with my friends on Discord while playing on my PS5, or being able to answer my phone at the same time. It’s a feature I never knew I needed and now that I have it, I’m not sure I’d want to go without it. The battery life seems good; I’ve been able to get whole working days without needing to critically charge them. Would I recommend these? Absolutely. Would I pay $300 for them? It's a lot of money and there are other options out there that are just as competitive. I really do like these.

After reviewing more than 8 gaming headset I closed down to Virtuosos XT due to the following reasons 1) I did not want to pay hell amount of money for a plastic product. The built quality is really good 2) It has all the connections needed, USB, Bluetooth and Wired, one headset for all purpose 3) Not just a gaming headset, it can be used for daily music and office use too 4) The mic is detachable and is of exceptionally good quality and sound 5) comes with pouch to keep it safe 6) not too heavy not too light does not cause a headache like other heavier headphones Only drawback I found was the earpads, I had to get aftermarket WC gel infused as the ones provided are leather or artificial leather not sure but not padded enough and does not feel comfortable
