This is the most reliable romex stripper on the market. Fits well in pocket. Latch mechanism is non obtrusive. Wire manufacturers appear make their wire for this stripper.

Best tool for 12-14 romex

Have many Klein tools and I always felt they are good quality and this stripper is no exception. Does a great job on stripping Romex sheathing and wires. 2 issues for me: 1. The locking mechanism is sub standard. It does not lock the jaws of tool completely shut allowing it to get caught easily on anything the open jaws come in contact with. 2. The handle is very comfortable but acclimated in the wrong direction. It’s much more comfortable in my hand working with the white highlighted face section facing downwards. The opposite side does have scribed numbers but difficult to read. Fits much more comfortably with curved side of handle towards my thumb. This puts the easier side to read numbers facing downwards. Probably just my pet peeve but I do find those 2 items annoying.

good quality known brand sturdy works well

I was wrong these worked great.. used about 8 times to strip ac wire outside. Way better then what I was doing which involved a razor blade and single wire strippers.. wish I got these years ago..I do jot use a lot but when I do have to I'm very glad I got them..especially if it's 100 outside and in the sun. Thus speeds up replacement of wires a lot

Klein tools are awesome!

I brought this so I can cut the skin of the triple wire without hurting the wires inside but unfortunately I can not! I have tried and I have cut the inside wires as i was doing it before - using a knife or other electrical wire cutters I have bought (and I have bought too many). I am disappointed as I thought this tool will solve my problem!!

VVF2.0、VVF1.6ともに２c３cつかえます ただ電線メーカーによりかわるのかまでは解りませんがカワイ電線に限っては問題なく使えてます EM-EEFは試していないのでわかりません 使用感としては他のストリッパーじゃ刃先ではなく支点より内側でVVFの外皮を剥ぐのに対しこの製品では刃先側で外皮、IV被服、切断まで行えるため非常に扱いやすいです ただ国内hケーブル向けでは無いため外皮の剥ぎ取り時多少の力加減は必要になると思いますが電工の場合日常的に使うでしょうからすぐに馴れると思います 大きさもコンパクトですしバネがついてるため扱いやすいです 個人的に一番理想的なリッパーですね HOZAN、ジェフコムとリッパー使ってましたが(ケーブルストリッパーはマーベル、ジェフコム)すべて過去の物となりましたw

Works great for splitting wires

For installing electrical wires this is a great tool. The fact that you can score the entire outside sheating in one shot without damaging the individual conductor sheating inside is a huge time saver. The only con of that tool is the handle cover sleeves that are loose and not glued which makes them come off easily.

Pretty useful coming from a electrician
