We bought this for our toddler after he showed interest in mimicking instruments he saw in music videos. I was expecting a toy but received a true musical instrument. From a developmental perspective (28 months), right now he's most excited by getting to tap the keys, experimenting with the different instrument sounds ("voices" in the parlance of the user guide), and listening to the song bank which has many recognizable nursery rhyme tunes. It has the ability to advance with budding musicians however, including including features such as a metronome as well as an accompaniment feature that can supplement a player. The device itself is plastic but of good quality (i.e. a step above the usual disposable design used in children's toys) and has survived the expected bumps and drops you have with a toddler thus far. Very pleased overall.

I liked the compactness of this mini piano .I use it in front of my Computer .So when in Zoom for musical participation .I can quickly play a chord when required. Also well put together. HR.

Very disappointing! I can't give this any stars as it didn't work. It was a Christmas gift for my 3 yo grandson; it was our big gift to him this year. We left it until the last gift, he opened it, we put four AA batteries in, turned it on, and NOTHING. We then plugged it in, and NOTHING. Three adults all tried but it would not turn on. I went online to Amazon to order another one and they are out of stock! The keyboard is packaged and ready to return, and I will search for another NON Yamaha children's keyboard.

My daughter opened this for Christmas. It turned on and worked for 5 minutes. She turned it off. When we tried to turn it on again nothing! It is dead. Will not turn on. Very frustrating and ended with lots of tears.
