These scissors are AMAZING!!
These scissors are AMAZING!!! I'm a professional upholstery seamstress so I use scissors all day long and have to cut through some very thick fabric. For the past 10 years I've used nothing but Wiss or Mundial Stainless Steel Shears until a local sewing supplier recommended these Carbon Steel shears to me. He let me sample the 2 scissors next to each other and it was a day and night difference, truly! While both scissors can cut through thick leather or denim with some ease, these scissors made cutting through them absolutely effortless, like cutting through butter. While the other scissors took a little extra effort. As far as the design of these scissors I love how light they feel along with the handle design. When using the other scissors my fingers used to hurt after a days worth of cutting because of the constant rubbing/holding of the hard metal handle against them but not with these scissors. They are so easy to use and not hard on the hands like the other scissors. I'll never buy anything else again as these are truly amazing scissors. Also, just as a side note: I purchased the 10" shears which work good but they are a 1/2" shorter in the cutting area compared to the 10" Mundial sheers. So if you're changing from Weiss or Mundial to these sheers then I'd recommend getting the 11" as I notice the 1/2" shorter difference when cutting. I will definitely be buying more and would highly recommend them!

Good scissors and the price was fair here on Amazon.
I own a textile business and these are really good. They are sharp and don't walk much from the warp and weft. I did buy a pair a while back and they didn't last long and the factory edge finish wasn't great. This pair is way better though. Just be good to them meaning if you have to cut something questioinable like plastic zippers or staples, use a dedicated pair from the hardware store that you don't care about. I think Milwaukee scissors is what I use for the rugged cutting. $14.

Wish I could give MORE than five stars!
OH.MY.GOODNESS. Pattern cut out about 20% of the way, new scissors arrived, so I raced to my cutting table to try them out! (Don't worry, I had the scissors pointed down, never run w/scissors! LOL) Excited, I cut about 12" along the edge of a sleeve, and was so freaking impressed, I had to stop and write this review. These are amazing, JUST AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Cutting the fleece is like cutting through warm butter, no resistance, smooth as silk. The handle is incredibly comfortable, and sized perfectly for my hands. I can see me cutting many many yards of fabric with these scissors. I have a lot of trouble with my hands, and I can tell within a minute if the grip isn't going to work. The grip/feel of the KAI is pure heaven. So what was I using/what have I used before? Fiskars Softouch Spring Action Titanium Nitride Scissor 8" - they chew, they don't cut. They're horrid. Ginghers - I had Ginghers for many years. They were always too small for my hands and very uncomfortable/painful to use if I cut a lot, or cut heavy fabrics. They were better than the Fiskars, but oh man, the Ginghers never cut with the smooth flow of these KAI. Why did I buy the initial set of Fiskars? Well... I returned to sewing after a 15+ year hiatus. Reading reviews, I bought the FISKARS Softouch Spring Action Titanium Nitride Scissor 8" (~62.00) based on reviews. At the time, I also bought a little tiny pair of KAI scissors. I wasn't familiar with the KAI brand, but a quilting instructor swore by the little ones, and nobody I know sews, so I was sort of a green horn where scissors were concerned. My Ginghers were mauled by paper cutting children, and relocated to one of my children's homes never to be seen again. :) Save yourself aggravation and discomfort. These 8" KAI Prof. Shears are everything you could wish for, and then some. Yeah, they're 55 bucks, but you'll get what you pay for! Those Fiskars are now 62.00 paper scissors, banished to the gift wrapping box... Call me a KAI fan forever.

Super sharp
I had an older pair of Kai scissors that needed to be replaced. I hope these last as long as my other pair did. I cut leather every day and these scissors cut like it’s butter. The only brand I buy

It is very easy to cut fabric with these scissors. They are very sharp. The handle is a bit big for my hand but I am still very happy with my new scissors. They also arrived quicker than expected.

It was while I had my scissors sharpened that I looked to getting another pair to have as a spare. I truly wish I had known about Kai scissors before now! Not only was the price great on Amazon, but these are just the greatest scissors for home sewers. Up until now I've thought that my Gingher were the best but using these Kai scissors have changed my mind. They literally cut through fabric like it was butter! Very happy with this purchase! Highly recommend this to any sewers and quilters.
