Update: I received the Hatch Gen 2 as a gift, I can now say with certainty, that I do indeed prefer the hatch, however there are pros and cons to both. The momcozy will work in a power outage if fully charged beforehand, the hatch will shut off entirely without power/being plugged in so it’s also less portable. I still have not downloaded the mom cozy app for the sound machine because I simply don’t want or need to, especially when all the tactical buttons on the machine make it effortless to use. The hatch NEEDS the app! I like the sound quality and dimmable light features better on the hatch than the mom cozy. And that’s about it.BOTTOM LINE: mom cozy is better price and better if you don’t want to rely on Bluetooth and WiFi and have an extra app. Hatch is better sound, light control, app experience, and eventually will be a sleep trainer “ok to rise” scheduling for a young child. I would have been just fine without receiving the hatch as a gift and continued to use the mom cozy sound machine!Original post:I debated buying this or the Hatch sound machine that looked almost exactly like it. I’m SO GLAD I bought this! I had it on my baby registry, was able to use my completion discount, and it was on sale, so I got it for less than half the price of the hatch! To be clear, I never bought the hatch, so I have no idea how good it really is. BUT. The light choices are great, not too bright or dark, perfect for just the right amount of light for night time feedings. It might not be bright enough for night time diaper changes, but if there’s another night light in the room, you might be fine. The 34 sound choices are great with adjustable volume. I love the tactical buttons on the machine, which means I DON’T need to download yet another app to my phone to control this. I can see why having the app is nice, but for right now, this machine is all we need. The charging device does have a backup battery so if power is out, or you have to take it to another room, you don’t have to worry about bringing the whole cord along too.If you’re looking for a sleep trainer, I would go for the hatch because of the programming and the app features…but if you just need a sound machine and a nightlight that is simple and is easy to use, and half the price of the hatch, get this! I’m glad I did!

We have absolutely loved this sound machine and are planning to buy a second one for our 1 year old to replace his! It’s super easy to set up and works great for on the go! The cord is come with is super thick and nice quality! My daughter loves that there are plenty of sounds to choose from and likes to swap them out some! We haven’t used the alarm on it or the app just yet but definitely plan to when she starts school! It has tons of features like multiple light choices and sound choices and you can hook it up to the app to change colors from your phone!

my toddlers sound machine needed an upgrade so I purchased this recently. Let me start by saying I have awful insomnia like can’t function without sleeping pills bad, fighting prescription meds, weekly b12 shots BAD. So nighttime sleep for me isn’t a thing, but naps? Never have I ever taken one. This sound machine is awful. It’s like sleeping gas filling a room, I have to keep forcing myself to get out as soon as I turn it on. It’s so hard to fight it, then just moments after tucking my toddler in for naps I’m passed out getting poked in the eye and I physically can’t get up. The first night we set it up our toddler slept until 10 am.We will be ordering a second for me.

This is my second time buying this sound machine. You can decently control it through the app but mainly it’s easier on the machine. Easy to set a timer for music, easy to pick music, make routine, and choose colors. A tap on the top turns on or off the colors.

I was looking for an ok to wake alarm clock that also had sound machine features and this is it plus more!Everything can be controlled through the app - color, sound, timers/alarms, childlock, on and off, even the volume. You can customize all you want.For example I have it set to the color red with brown noise from 8pm-7am and set to the color green with bird noises from 7am-7:15am.It’s a good alternative to the hatch sound machine and is a fraction of the price.
