Multi Aluminium Ruler 30cm Black (42254006)

This is one of the nicest tools I’ve owned. The ruler is sleek: - It folds smoothly into itself, making a subtle, yet satisfying, clasp-click sound when the metal reaches the metal upon closing it - The protractor lets you measure angles - The ridge (where the ruler connects and disconnects to fold) doesn’t affect the straightness of a line drawn - The tension from the hinge is loose enough for easy opening and closing, while tight enough to maintain an angle - The measurement markings are etched in and then painted - The ruler is small in both height and length (when folded) A couple of additional notes: For people who measure in inches, this measures only in millimeters and centimeters; conversion is an option. Also, while the hinge should last a long time, I’d be careful with opening and bending the ruler just in case. This ruler is well-designed, and I recommend it for anyone who wants a portable multipurpose ruler.

This is a high-quality, very well manufactured products. The edges are square, and noticeably so, but not Sharp. The joint in the middle is well machined and flawless. The ruler does not bend as it is thick aluminum and it doesn't flop around loosely or fold back in on itself unless you're giving it a bit of pressure while you use it. I have kind of a firm grip and unless I intentionally want to move it it won't flop around on me at the hinge. I really like that I can fold it down into half of its length to fit in my pochade box. I also like that it's much lighter than a steel ruler would be. I have the black one and it's also quite snazzy looking and attractive.

Overall, this ruler is amazing. It's a sturdy aluminum ruler with a fastened, smooth metal joint. The edges are sharp so that unfolding the ruler makes sure the entire line is straight. The markings don't fade away and the printing is precise and clean. Only complaint? using it as a straightedge (which I mostly do) is a little difficult because it's slippery on the bottom. Solution? Press down hard. Overall, I loved this buy. Yes, $10-ish a little much, but honestly this'll last real long if you take care of it.

Amateur inventor and have a lot of ideas for little gadgets and projects, always plotting ideas into a sketchbook to revisit one day. I like the compact size of this ruler, it's protractor function (won't replace one for serious measurements, but good enough for a napkin blueprint), sturdy, feels good, easy to read at 45 years of age. I dig it!

Wanted a straight edge that would fit in my pencil case. This fits the bill. Unfortunate that it doesn't have inches, but that wasn't the main reason I bought it. It would be a nice option though.

I love this ruler! It folds smoothly. It is weighted nicely. The metal feels very nice to the touch. When opened, the straight line I can draw with it is very smooth, even where the two halves meet. I LOVE it. It's small, fits easily in my cabinet drawer, and is very useful.

so handy, so helpful, a really great thing to own in your pencil case. i find myself thinking “darn i wish i could measure exactly the size of this” and am immediately pleasantly surprised that i have a perfectly mini full-sized ruler in my backpack. and with the ability to make angles?! amazing.

Great ruler, strong study. The aluminum feels great in the hand. Numbers clear and won’t fade out. Great for traveling and fits into small pencil cases

The quality of this ruler is top notch. Feels good in the hand. Sturdy aluminum. Doesn't feel loose when extending it to it's full length. The tiny angle indicator and arrow to measure the angle is a nice touch. Good quality item. Attractive. It's a ruler you probably wouldn't want to lend out. You definitely won't find anything like this in your local Staples or art shop in North America.

Righello spettacolare. Piccolo, pratico, robusto, preciso. Fattura in metallo di qualità ottima. La possibilità di aprirlo e raddoppiare la sua lunghezza è per me un valore aggiunto non indifferente, per non parlare della possibilità di mantenerlo saldamente ad una angolazione desiderata (compresa tra 0 e 180 gradi). Una volta fermato all'apertura desiderata (apertura continua e lineare, non a scatti), mantiene la posizione in maniera salda. Ecco, a voler essere pignoli, la regolazione dell'angolo di apertura delle due metà del righello non è precisissima, ma non è stato pensato per lavori di precisione. Un po' caro forse, ma ne vale la pena. Nel complesso, più che consigliato!

It's a well made premium slim ruler. The folding mechanism works well. A snappy mechanism to lock the angle would have been a good addition to make angle measurement more accurate.

Que me gustó: La regla tiene el tamaño perfecto ya que cabe en prácticamente cualquier lapicera, en mi caso la uso una de las más delgadas (Lihitlab Smart Fit). El material es de buena calidad y muy ligero. Además de su funcionalidad y extenderse hasta 30 cm. estéticamente proyecta minimalismo y estilo. Lo que no me gustó: en color negro las huellas dactilares quedan marcadas en la regla, esto por su acabado. El ángulo a 90 grados no es exacto. En general es una excelente opción para aquellos que buscan practicidad, estilo, ligereza y poco espacio.
