Very sharp
Good quality, have had them for well over a year. I really wish I would have gotten the butcher/storage block version as the knives are kinda loose in a drawer now.

I love these knives!!
SHORT VERSION:I love the knives, they are very sharp, and I would highly recommend them. Also, the packaging is cute.Pros-*Quite sharp*Bright, pretty colors*Nice weight/balance/feel in the hand.*All blades except bread knife are slightly curved for easier chopping.*Food sticks less on the covered blade*No rust and no other quality issues yet after 8 months of use (hand washing only, prompt towel dry).*Sheaths make knives portable*Great price point for the qualityCons-*Bread knife could be improved*Some people may want a little heavier handle*Blades don’t appear to be full tangLONG VERSION:Maybe it’s the Vremi cutesy packaging and sayings, maybe it’s the colors, maybe it’s the good quality for the low price, but these knives make me happy. All the knives are quite sharp (although my Emojoy set is a little sharper but only slightly and that set was 3-4x the price) and I love the feel in my hand. The handle is slightly rubberized and feels dense, quality, and well-balanced but as I mentioned above, I don’t think they’re full tang. Nevertheless, they feel sturdy and good quality.I have used all the knives, and I love them all except the bread knife. My friends have a knife with more of a scalloped edge where’s this one had a inverted curves and I think the scalloped edge probably works better. Unless you have a big, firm, crusty bread that you can literally saw into, the bread knife is a little awkward to use as the teeth of it sometimes tear into the bread instead of sawing into it. Maybe this is how all bread knives go, I’m not sure. My Emojoy bread knife looks similar but I haven’t tried it yet to make a comparison. The other downside I think is that it the serrations are the large teeth - it’s not serrated on the teeth themselves, if that makes any sense. If you’ve ever seen a Miracle Blade knife blade, I mean tiny serrations like that rather than, or in addition to, the large serrated teeth. I do love color of it, for what it’s worth. The chef’s knife, slicing knife, utility knife, and paring knife are all fantastic though, especially at this price point. It also can’t go without saying that the coating over the blade is not only good to help food slide off but it also protects most of the metal of the blade.Honestly, I only bought my Emojoy set because I wanted a set with steak knives and kitchen scissors. I think Vremi makes kitchen scissors, but they don’t make steak knives. If they did, I probably would have bought them and got a knife block separate to put it all in and never bought the Emojoy set. In fact, I still use the Vremi set for different things because I don’t feel the need to be *as careful* with them as I have to be with the Emojoy set due to the coating over the blade.Lastly, the sheaths are wonderful because they make them so portable. And you can tell how sharp they are because if you bump the blade into the sheath while sliding them into it, you can feel that it’s ever so slightly cutting into the plastic.

Recommended after a year of regular use.
Bought the set over a year ago and remain very happy with the purchase. This is our everyday knife set. Good variety of blades for kitchen tasks. Use to cut up chickens, slice bagels, chop garlic, etc. Chickens don't squawk much but the garlic always raises a stink. Rate ergonomics only as average-good, not excellent. The knife is not one with the hand as it is with German and Japanese made tools. Sheaths mean you can throw them back in drawer without worrying about banging up their edges. Need to exercise care about re-sheathing, though. Sometimes a blade will not go smoothly all the way down - it gets caught in the decorative V cut in the cover. Make sure the white Vs on the blade and the sheath are both facing you and push in slowly. Two of the knives needed sharpening upon arrival. The others have held for almost 18 months. One of the V-brand appliques fell off the handle during the year, glued it right back on.Good quality, EXCELLENT value, recommended for light to moderate everyday household use.

Inexpensive, and functional; not the knives I use every day, but great for travel and picnics
I own knives that I paid over $300 for. I am on the waitlist for a Kramer knife that will set me back over $1000. I own very nice knives. I love to cook, and doing so without a decent set of knives makes life difficult. Why did I buy these? I wanted a set of knives that would work in a picnic box that we keep in the car, and I wanted knives that I could pack in a check-in bag that would be better than what I normally get when I rent a hotel suite with a kitchen or an apartment while on vacation. Mission accomplished. The knives are sharp. They may not stay that way for long, but they are sharp, and I do have all the equipment to resharpen knives. Indeed I do it frequently. If I have a brain fart, and leave one of these knives in a hotel or apartment while traveling, I can easily afford to buy a new set. If you are just starting out, and want to buy some knives, at least to date I would have no reason to suggest you don't buy this set. You can often find "Komachi" sets at Costco at a very reasonable price, but if you don't have this option available to you, then this set is a good place starting point.

Still like new after 6 months -- and after 3.5 years (updated).
Update 10/7/2020: What up, it's been like three and a half years (bought Feb 2017). These are good knives on the cheap. They STILL look great, their covers still fit, no rust, handles are sturdy, etc. I'm still not big on the colors but I have zero regrets about getting them. Recently got another knife set for my mom which was a different brand, and they weren't sharp as I would've liked, plus their covers just do not fit and stay on well. I don't have any complaints about these knives, and I do use three of them very frequently, so I think this is about the best you're going to do for the price, and a bit above the price.I've had these for almost six months now, with no rust, and the blades are still sharp. They don't all receive equal use, but the ones I use most are in the same condition as the ones I've used like once or twice. I use the yellow one almost every day, usually once or twice, and the red and orange ones like every other day. I wash them after use and dry them right after. No problems with handles or looseness, no discolorations or anything else. It's a really nice set, and they came at a good price.

Empfehlenswert

Finger weg...
