Conquers digestive/ belly pain/ issues incredibly well!
If you have digestive issues -- heartburn, indigestion, painful gas, or just discomfort from eating too much -- this is the greatest stuff. My son was very sick for many years, his doctor strongly recommended this particular item, (at that time the bottle was marked as "CeaseFire" by this highly reputable company, Complementary Prescriptions) and THIS was the only supplement I would hear my son recommending to others for belly pain and discomfort. I would not be without it. I crushed it up and stirred it in to a bit of applesauce for my son, but when I need it, I can just sort of break it up with my teeth and then take a big drink of water, swallowing the broken-down pieces without actually chewing the wafer....it doesn't taste very good, but it also tends to stick to your teeth if you were to chew it all up, which really is not necessary. We swallow whole pills, and foods in much larger pieces, so that's what I would recommend. I definitely and wholeheartedly recommend this. My son was able to stop taking Nexium, using this instead. It is GREAT STUFF for ulcers, his doctor even told us.My medicine cabinet is never without it.

Different label
Received the product with new packaging. Tried it once and it did not taste the same or act the same when I was having a hid with gerd. Why does it have an after taste like artificial sweetener?

Works fast
I have periodic pain in the pit of my stomach, which I strongly suspect is an ulcer. I’ve been on ppis, which work, but as soon as you go off of them the symptoms rebound. I’m amazed at this chewable licorice/mastic gum. It works nearly instantly. Whenever I have stomach pain in the morning or after a meal I chew one of these and the pain on gone in about 2 minutes. The flavor is very strongly of licorice and the tablet is slightly chewy.

It seems to be working!
I’m really happy with these. We don’t currently have insurance so after some trouble shooting, I self diagnosed myself with an ulcer. Since I don’t take tylenol, it seemed to be the h. Pylori variety. Again, all a guess! I’m on day 3 of taking these tablets 2x a day. My bloating and that horrible feeling of a brick in my stomach is so much better. I chose this company because my cousin is a surgeon who also dabbled in naturopathy and they come recommended by them. As for the taste/texture, it really doesn’t bother me. It’s def not a turn off given the success I’m having with this product. Will be purchasing again.

Horrible taste - but works
If you can make it past the taste, this product works. I purchased it for upset stomach, acid reflux type symptoms. I tried to suck up the disgusting taste, but I thought I’d throw up. Whatever minuscule amount got swallowed however did bring me relief.

Helps with heart burn
Flavor is ok, and it does the job. 4 start because it really sticks to your teeth.

The answer for acid reflux
I've tried a lot of things to help with reflux. This product has had the biggest impact and I ordered my second bottle. I was slightly concerned about how deglycyrrhizinated this was, because if there's still much in there, it can elevate blood pressure. I finished the first bottle, and at the dentist, my blood pressure was 120/74, which is excellent (and lower than my previous reading). Thus, I'm not worried about hypertension, and the benefits of this mastic gum DGL combo are fantastic. I still have to watch what and how much I eat, but this even helps when I overdo it.Highly recommended for anyone who struggles with reflux. My second recommendation would be to control your stress levels. Back when I was super stressed, I would tense my abdominals in a way to put pressure on my stomach and force its contents upward! Also pay attention to what triggers reflux. I've done well to limit my tomato consumption, and I'm suspicious of dairy (but... I love cheese, milk, ice cream, etc.).So far, this has been the answer to my frustrating problem of reflux, and it's LEAGUES better for you than an antacid or PPI inhibitor.
