I needed something that my 10 year old son would enjoy and this is perfect! The books are an easy but entertaining read for all ages and boys or girls! You should give them a try and I cant wait to see whats next!

Exactly what I ordered for my Grandson .

We haven't read them all yet but these are written in what could be called modern conversational tone and use common phrases and words kids might hear on YouTube on their favorite shows like Roblox. One reviewer said she thought the language was inappropriate. I haven't come across inappropriate words but there is some teasing about an overweight cop that is not dissimilar to things they hear on roblox or lankybox, which I agree is not something we want our kids thinking is ok. If it we're up to me, he wouldn't watch those shows but Que Sera Sera.My grandson who's going into 3rd grade manages to read them himself with very little help with the words; however the comprehension might be more for 4th grade and up. The style is as if the writer is simply talking. After having tried to read the first diary together, neither my grandson or I really know what the story is about.This is a well-made set and so far I would recommend it for 9+ since it should get them interested in reading. But it won't teach then values or offer much in the way of education. However punctuation seems very well edited, I'm impressed with the formatting and punctuation.

These books were specifically requested by my grandchildren for Christmas. While I have not read them, I must say they arrived timely and are beautiful. Any books ok that my grandchildren love enough to ask for specifically has my stamp of approval.
