I needed a v mount plate for my octopus style shoulder rig. At first I was looking at cheaper options that were not adjustable, but when this went on sale I figured I would give it a shot. It works perfectly! It gives me all the outputs I need, it holds my Smallrig VB155 battery in place while easily switching it out for different batteries, and it's very easy to adjust. I wish it had an on/off switch instead of just a button, but that's just a personal preference.

I work in the professional media industry and have had other battery mount adapters... they are all essentially the same - and most lack versatility. This unit is better. There is a range of movement to mount the batter exactly where you would like it. It is very sturdy, and well constructed. It might be a tad bit more expensive, but the cost is far outweighed by the ruggedness and the flexibility the unit provides. I recommend it.

I started buying Smallrig products since 2015 and I have always been confident they will deliver a great item at an affordable price.This V mount battery blew me away, because this is a very high quality product. Is all aluminum, the attention to detail is greatly appreciated.I bought this V mount because I wanted to power my 12v proaim joystick and be able to move at any event with out worries of cables, or huge batteries, this looks perfect.So proud to own Smallrig products.

The v mount works as expected, however, I’ve tightened it as much as I possibly could and it still isn’t strong enough to support my v mount battery. Also, there are a couple extra screws that come with it, and there’s no indication on where I attach them to the mount.

I love this mount super resourceful I have a smaller battery and it tends to not lock that battery down to the mount. One bump while filming can knock the battery off . :(

All honesty seeing the past reviews about the arm not being to tight enough..I’ve had no issues with it at all this is the best v mount plate with the adjustable arm I love it

Once you put a large battery on this, it will sag on your rig and not lock solidly with the turn knobs.

It's great quality with no issues.
