Q: Does this line of TV's have a tuner to receive over the air broadcast of local channels?

Yes I put an external antenna from my roof onto the antenna connection on back of the TV once turned on it scanned for available channels which was 150 or saw channels when I want to use my antenna I simply push tv icon on remote and it brings me to the available air/antenna tv . I did this in the event I lose cable for some reason I will always be able to get all local and air tv channels.its the best of both on one remote.

It’s actual internal storage is 16GB, but only leaves 11.34GB available (after formatting and firetv OS).

I don’t know the distance, but legs on most TVs are pretty flimsy these days, so an inadvertent bump could send it crashing to the floor. If you don’t want to wall mount, you could consider a stand for more stability. I use one like this one.
