Perfect like the restaurant
I got this ingredient recommendations from a local Mexican Restaurant. It's their key secret ingredient for chicken and wonderful pulled tacos. Its all natural. Has 0 food dyes. The color comes from the Annatto seed. Great earthy Mexican flavors.I add OJ, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, and a little granulated garlic. Put in food processor to create a liquid. Pour over meat. Marinade at least 8 hours. Better over night.

Perfect product, not expired
Was hesitant to buy on Amazon and was especially hesitant after reading some reviews stating the product was expired or damaged in some wat. I ordered anyway (3-pack) and received brand-new, unopened, fresh, non-expired product and my recipe turned out great. Whew! Yay me.

probably used 8 or 10 packages of this in the past year...mix in a blender with other spices eg minced garlic, oregano, cumin, chopped onion etc ...put in dutch oven over pork or chicken and bake......makes great soups ,sandwiches or tacos

Meats reminded me of local Mexican restaurant
The product came in three small individually packaged blocks of paste. I created a marinade made with orange juice & fresh squeezed lime & then tried to add the paste by using a potable mixer. I should have used a blender or a food processor to more thoroughly mix those two ingredients. I ended up using my fingers & hand to massage the pork ribs & chicken wings with the clumps of paste & liquid. I used a dry rub on the ribs, plus a small amount of seasoned salt, thyme, crushed red pepper, garlic, onion, etc. I used a similar concoction with the chicken, save & except I left off the rub. I poured the remaining liquid over the ribs & chicken & marinaded them overnight in the refrigerator in separate containers. The taste of both meats was extraordinary. Both tasted like the food we get from the local Chicken Pollo restaurant. I only used 2/3 of one packet. I placed the block of unused paste in the refrigerator. The combination of the red coloring in the paste & the sugars in the orange juice produced a charred appearance.

You need this to make Belizean Stew Chicken
The most important ingredient when making Belizean stew chicken and rice and beans! (along with Marie Sharp's Habanero Pepper sauce, from Belize!) We call this the "Chicken crayon". The idea is to colour the raw chicken pieces with this spice (just cut off a little chunk so you don't contaminate the bar) and let it rest for a little while, then pre-fry it a little before throwing it in a pot with Badia Complete Seasoning, onions, green peppers, and chopped up tomatoes. Let it all stew in a big pot for a couple of hours and you'll have the best chicken you've ever tasted. Of course, in Belize, you'll get a homemade version of this, but this is a wonderful replacement that's available online.

Exactly what it says. And great value
I work as a chef and take care of my elderly mother. That bring said it's hard to find the time to go to the speciality stores.I needed this asap to make pork tacos.Although I was worried about freshness due to other reviews this was perfectly soft and fresh. It was also cheaper than going to the nearest store.I allways buy in bulk so the 3 pack was perfect same 100g size I get at the store and 3 of them for the cost of 1.5 !
