I've used these pens for at least 40 years & the fine point is lovely to use. I'm a South paw so I do get a wee bit of ink on my hands but it's never bad enough to make me not want to use these pens. Some Ink on my hand is a danger of being left handed as I even get pencil on my hand too. I find a quick rub with a tissue & hand sanitizer removes it very well. A simple square of toilet tissue under my hand would prevent ink transfer if it bothered me enough, which it doesn't. I also find bcuz it dries so well that there is never smudging of ink on my writing page.
