whats the controller license that i need for them to work?

You need a controller for this version which is called "campus" mode. If you want to run without a controller, you need the "instant" version which is model "JW813A". You cannot convert the AP from campus to instant mode. You can convert an instant AP to campus mode. Also the unified firmware isn't available for this version.

This is the AP only, the controller license is not included.
