Works awesome. Easy to install
The media could not be loaded. This overflow box came with everything I needed for the install including the bit needed. Comes with all required gaskets as well as a template to drill it perfectly

Great Bang for Buck & Includes Everything Needed
I had 4 tanks that I wanted to convert from siphon overflows to true overflows due to the noise and fear of flooding. So happy that I purchased these. Installation was a breeze. I took the time to measure the clearance and mark accordingly so that the top of the overflow was just 1/2" from the top of the tank. My water level is hidden by the black trim on the tanks allowing me to run minimum or maximum flow. Adjusting the siphon is key to ensure that the system is silent and I can take phone calls in my fish room and enjoy the ambiance in peace. I was able to use the same bit on all 4 tanks and sold the others to recoup some of my money. I had my daughters with a spray bottle of water to ensure that the bit stayed cool as I drilled. Let the drill do the work and make sure that if you are drilling with stocked tanks like I did, you drain a good amount of water below the hole you are drilling to relieve pressure and prevent water running out. The gaskets seal well, but I believe in a 1/4 to 1/2 turn after hand tightening to ensure no leaks. Make sure that you use unions in your plumbing setup for easier maintenance. Highly recommend this overflow.

Good style overflow, but....... not as simple as it looks and bad gaskets.
The overflow itself is solid, nice and sleek looking on any tank. Also extremely quiet when tuned with a valve on the main intake. Has the back up standpipe as an emergency which is also nice in case of a sudden stop in the first pipe. Overall the product is a great idea and design especially for a typical or standard tank that you may want to convert to a reef tank. I installed mine on a 55 gallon and it went very smoothly with the included hole saw. Be sure to have the drill on high speed and let the weight of the drill do the work when drilling out the glass, also be sure to spray it and keep the drill bit wet when drilling. You can easily build a small temp reservoir to hold the water in place with duct tape instead of plumber’s putty. I will say, the instructions are pretty useless. It’s written out like I text messaged someone to quickly learn how to do something in 5 minutes. As someone who is in the trade field I didn’t need the instructions to do it but it may definitely be harder for someone who doesn’t do this kinda stuff all the time. Best bet is to look it up on YouTube if you need to learn about it a bit. DO NOT USE THE TEMPLATE THAT COMES WITH IT AS A HOLE MARK. If you put the template right against the plastic trim of the tank you will not have a high enough water level in the tank. Use a sharpie to mark out where the bulkhead will be from the inside once you have the internal overflow box up against the top of the trim. It’s the only way your water level will be high enough. Once you’ve marked it THEN use the template as merely a drill guide, but not to mark where your hole should be. Once all of that is over with the overflow is nice however mine came with a bad gasket and I had to get a new one because I had a tiny leak upon start up. Not sure if mine was just defective or they just come with cheap gaskets, but no matter how much I tightened it with channel locks it would not stop so I had to replace the gasket on the external side.you will need a ball valve FOR SURE on your main intake. Otherwise it may be too powerful or too noisy. I recommend putting a piece of highly porous filter pad over the main intake bulkhead inside the overflow box, really dims the noise out to nothing and avoids a whirlpool siphon. Overall it’s a nice overflow but not as simple as portrayed.... be very careful the way you play your cards when installing it like I said above. Other than all that, when it’s done definitely headache free and reliable. I would recommend it hopefully just mine came with a bad gasket.

Great alternative to the "Ghost Overflow"
I had a hard time finding a lot of information about this overflow, so I pioneered, and now I'll leave some information for those of you who are in the same boat. I ordered the S, which I believe stands for "Small," rated for 600GPH.Please note, I have not filled my tank up with water yet, BUT I have seen this overflow working on the exact same size tank, and the water level is right where it should be.In terms of looks, this is pretty sleek. I'm running it on a Mr. Aqua 22 gallon, and I'm doing a peninsula style build. It was important that I have something streamlined and out of the way. I've seen custom internal overflow boxes for these nanos, and who wants to waste that type of real estate?! Not this guy!The package comes with everything you need, including the glass drill bit, and a guide. I was able to drill this JUST tight enough into the corner of the tank, so I wouldn't have to worry about anything growing between the glass and the overflow. Remember, when you drill, keep the glass wet and cool, and let the drill do the work. The bulkhead that keeps the internal and external together is just high enough that it looks like it'll cover the water line, which is what I hear the Ghost Overflow does not do, so if you're running a Bean Animal or Herbie, you're constantly adjusting. I don't think this will be the case. If anything changes with my review, I will update, but as of now, I'm very pleased.EDIT: one year and 3 days later, added photos of my reef! Same tank, just starting to grow out.

Works great, easy to drill
This product was perfect for what I was looking for. It was simple and easy to install, well constructed, and customer support was prompt to answer any questions I had. I was hesitant to drill the back of my tank, but I follow the instructions and had both tanks drilled in about 10 minutes. It was a great solution for my needs....

Works Great
Comes with drill bit and instructions to drill the tank. All worked great. I did tighten the bulkheads a little more than by hand since they were leaking a little when only hand tight. But an extra half turn did the trick.

DO NOT BUY
Absolutely horrible. The design of the overflow makes it so that it is impossible to make it silent. The water level on the inside of the tank is higher than the box on the outside. As a result, there is a loud waterfall sound and constant noise from the internal weir. Do yourself a favor and go buy an Exotic marine systems ghost overflow. It is more expensive but it is actually silent. Trust me this overflow is not worth your time or money.
