Excellent Replacement for HVAC System!
Review: I recently replaced my vehicle's malfunctioning blend door actuator with the Dorman 604-029, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The installation was straightforward, and the actuator works perfectly, allowing me to control the temperature inside the cabin once again. It's a quality part that fits well with my vehicle model, and it’s been running smoothly without any issues. I highly recommend this product for anyone needing a reliable replacement part for their HVAC system. Great value for the price!

Works for Jeep JL
Good so far, working on my 2021 Jeep JL Wrangler. The part number cross reference to a mopar part number for JK (JL is different), but I can confirm it does fit. Will see how long it can hold up. Original part lasted 3.5 year (37K miles).

Fixed that annoying clicking sound!
Solved the problem of the dreaded click click click everyday. Mine was the one under the driver side. A little bit of a pain to replace. Quality doorman product and I have had no issues since installing. Value was good and have had it replaced for the last year and going strong.

PITA to install but works!
The recirc motor in my kids 2016 jeep patriot was making all sorts of banging noises. Holy cr@p though this was a pain to replace! I'm very mechanical and have been working on vehicles for 25 years and this kind of stuff boggles my mind why an engineer would place them where they do.You will have to remove the glove box which is easy. Then remove the cover above the foot well, held in with 2 pop pins. You can reach in and unplug the motor from there easily. But then it will be a struggle with a right angle ratchet screwdriver to get the 2 silver screws out holding this in place. The lower one isn't bad but the top screw is done by feel, completely blind. And you'll have to be lying down across the drivers seat with your head down on the floor contorted and cursing to get to it. They are plain Phillips screws, not even the ones with an 7mm head on them for a socket, which would have made it much easier to remove without the tool slipping off.Make sure the one you remove is aligned properly, it should be in the recirc position when the vehicle is off. There is an alignment tool in the box you can put on a ratchet to move the door, but it's easier to just grab the white plastic end of the damper door by hand and move it if needed. Install is reverse of removal with slightly less cursing. No programming required, start the car and let it move through the recirc and fresh air positions, no more noise. It's worth noting there is a mode actuator and a temp actuator, both are this same part. One located on the drivers side of the center console by the pedals and one on the passenger side in same general area.

Lasts pretty well
I purchased this replacement part for my 2010 Dodge Avenger in January of 2023. This was the second time I had to have this part replaced, and two months ago in Nov of 2024, this part finally gave up the ghost. It lasted almost 2 years. My only complaint is now another actuator is knocking and now I need two of them, lol.

So far, so good! Have heat again.
My 17 JKUR suddenly had cold AC only. I figured it was this, and it was. The install of the part is not terrible, as long as you can get the air duct out of the way. Mine was a bit tough to break loose, but once out made things much easier. I also removed the one metal support bar under the steering wheel closest to the duct and also the little fan that's the air cabin temp sensor. I have large hands and this allowed me to more easily work through the hole available. It also let me more easily get my extensions and socket in to remove the bolts holding the mounting plate you have to remove. Before you button everything up test the unit and make sure the arm is clocked correctly, giving you the entire range of temps. Without the duct in the way you can easily see the arm moving and make sure it goes across the range. I had to move the arm a notch over to get it correct. My buddy didn't do this and now only has hot hot or cold cold, no in-between. Another note, I have a little electric screwdriver and it made the project so much easier at the actuator. You don't have much room so not having to turn a screwdriver was a huge plus.
