Almost perfect
The only thing I wish I could do is tighten the connection between the Arca Swiss plate and the connection to my Osmo action 5 pro camera.

A great addition to a useful system
I purchased this to use with the Beetleclip that's also made by PGYTECH. Couple this with my DJI action camera and another mount for a monopod and I now have a quick release and mount setup. Very nice. There are many different systems out there... probably as good or close enough but in the end you have to "settle" for something and this does the job just fine without compromising quality. Quite happy with it.

Product is fine, but not compatible with Peak Capture
This action camera snaplock plate adapter is designed to lock into an Arca-Swiss-compatible tripod mount, then lets you attach a GoPro on top of that, and the balljoint allows a fair bit of adjustment (roll, pitch, yaw) to get your direction perfect.I bought it specifically for using on my Peak Design Capture Clip v3 (which sits on my backpack shoulder strap) and mounting my GoPro "straight" towards the front so I could film our family hikes. Basically, I wanted the same user scenario as their pictures one with the backpack. When other products (and because that's how our shoulders are built) the GoPro faces "outwards" so timelapse and other clips are off-center. This product was supposed to solve that painpoint for me.But it didn't completely. Both this adapter plate and the Peak Capture Clip are Arca-Swiss compatible, so the plate does technically fit into the Clip. But:1. there is a LOT of allowance between the two, so the plate rattles around significantly even with a slow pace walk around the house, which means the videos and the sound will be marred by that jittering and rattling2. the plate is not at all compatible with the Clip's locking mechanism, and this means you can't safety lock the plate into the clip mount (which prevents it from falling out or being bumped out) nor can you even insert the plate without first depressing the safety lock button on the clipFor the above reasons, I've requested to return the product. I need it to be Capture Clip compatible. (If you're mounting a GoPro on a regular tripod with a mount clamp, this will probably work very well for you.)Please note that the product itself is technically fine and, like other PGYTECH products I own, of respectable build quality. I love that quick pin thing (where it locks the GoPro mount in with just a quarter-turn), far more convenient than the 10-turn GoPro thumbscrew default design. And the balljoint allows more degrees of freedom than other action camera mounts designed to fit in the same scenario: it was quite tight when I received the product, and I assume it should be able to securely hold its position even after months of use.

very stable
Worked great with my Go Pro. It doesn't seem compatible with other Go Pro shoe type adaptors. It works great with the PGKY Tech webbing clip and shoe. The ball mount is quite stable holds it's position well.

Arca Swiss shoe is great
I like the idea of the quick release "screw-less" GoPro style attachment system, but it is user hostile, so first thing to do when you get the mount is just go ahead and throw away the cute little quick release pins they want you to use because you are going to loose them anyway. Now put a regular nut on the mount and use the standard "GoPro" screw to attach the camera to the Arch Swiss mount.

No benefit over Peak Design
I bought this product in particular because of the ball socket in the mounting plate. I figured if your backpack strap wasn't straight up and down, you could twist the camera and it would pivot at the ball socket. This however isn't the case, and it doesn't move. If your backpack strap isn't completely vertical you will have slanted video footage with no way to correct it. Dumb design.I will probably return this for the P.D. alternative since I already own some of those products.
