Anthem Athletics Reignite MMA Shorts - 5", 7", & 9" Inseam for Men - for BJJ, Grappling, Wrestling - Lightweight & Versatile

9/8/25 Great shorts. I’m 5’5 145lbs and ordered a small. Comfortable around the waist and come down 3-4 inches above the knee. Great comfortable fit for rolling during BJJ. Have used these a bunch of times already and they’ve held up great.

I was looking for some shorts for kickboxing and grappling that had no pockets and that were less restrictive that regular gym shorts. I came across these shorts and figured I'd give a pair a try. The sizing chart was pretty spot on and these shorts have worked out great so far, providing exactly what I was looking for. I have since purchased a second pair of these shorts and so far I am happy with them. They are light weight, a bit loose in the right areas and stretch allowing for more movability. I can't speak to the longevity of these shorts yet, as I haven't had them that long but they do seem to be pretty decent quality for the price.

These are the best MMA/BJJ shorts I have owned. I have had them for 2+ years and they show no signs of wear. They are extremely durable and comfortable rolling. I exclusively wear this brand now.

I bought these for my son. He is 13 and has been doing BJJ for 4 years now. I bought him the traditional BJJ shorts and he doesn't like the velcro. I was a bit hesitant to buy these because he is in-between sizes and I didn't want to play the return and keep guessing game. I bought him the adult small size with the 5 " inseam. He has a waist of 29 and is stocky about 5'2". The shorts fit him perfectly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because he hasn't been on the mat with them yet, tomorrow will tell us how durable they are. They feel thick and durable. I may be ordering some for myself.

These shorts are mainly used for MMA, Muy Thai, and Jujitsu. As a combat sports we also care about safety so the no pockets are very good. We can easily break a finger if it gets caught in our opponents pockets. - The seam is very well sewn. Definitely don’t see it falling apart soon. - I love the design, they are my go to shorts whenever I train. - Lastly they are very comfortable. I will buy more of other colors just because I enjoyed these a lot. They do not slip off or anything. They stay on and still. I do not regret buying these shorts one bit and recommend them to others who are looking for a quality made pair of shorts for the gym.

They are true to size and fit really nice. I'm a woman and size 10/12 and a med fit great. I ordered the 5" inseam. Love the inside drawstring! I had absolutely no issues with them falling down or riding up when rolling.

Got complimented on these as I was still getting dressed in the locker room. They are good quality and I like the look and weight. IMHO if you are going to do Jujutsu the drawstring could have been much beefier and to get the benefit of the really nice elastic waist band I'd ignore the recommended Amazon waist size and order a size down. THEY ARE NOT however good for what would have used them for - working out in gym. Walked out on the floor, put in my earbuds, put on a playlist to get going and then slipped my phone into my short's pocket. No, wait. I couldn't. These shorts have no pockets. I did not see that anywhere in the description. I think it should be noted by the seller. I guess , my bad, for not knowing they were dedicated training gear. If you are going to use them for anything else but martial arts they are a hassle. Rats.

TLDR: they’re very much, O.K. Not amazing. Maybe 3.5 stars. I got these Anthems to replace a pair of smaash shorts that tore when I went to knee slide past someone’s guard and they got their toe stuck. The Smaash shorts were/are baggy but stretchy material, not very rugged, and now they’re going in the bin because they have a big tear down one leg. I bought these Anthems expecting them to be a bit more like sprawl shorts or like the fumetsu hard wearing, tough, rip stop shorts, unfortunately, they’re not. They’re not quite as frail feeling as the smaash shorts, but they’re nowhere near as tough as the fumetsu shorts or sprawl shorts. These Anthem shorts are again stretchy, but don’t seem like they stretch quite as much as the smaash ones, however I think if anyone gets their toes stuck again, these will rip. I think I’m going to stick with fumetsu next time.

Can't see why someone wouldn't like this produkt. I'm around 200lbs and use this Short for NoGi Rolling on the regular. Quality is fine. Material is durable but light and feels good.

Excellent quality. Fit and finish are second to none. This is my third pair of grappling shorts from Anthem Athletics. They fit true to size and are extremely durable.

Brilliant shorts, good quality and superb design makes them ideal for MMA
