Doctor directed me to use this specific item as an iron supplement.
My Doc said I should use this time of iron. Works great, all my iron numbers are in the mid range now.

Great product
This was recommended to me by my doctor, to counter issues with iron storage. I've been taking it for about six months, and it has definitely improved things, although I still have a ways to go.

The Coating is Back!
I just got a refill of these, and they have the coating back. It's not as hard and shiny as the old coating was, but it's a definite improvement! I added a photo with the new pills and a half of the non-coated pill to show the difference. I'm so happy that I took a chance and ordered these!

Work fine
Having used them for a long time does help.

Pills shortly expiring!
Previous orders were great but this 2 pack (120 pills total) arrived on June 10th and will expire in August. Not happy! Check your expiration dates before opening the box!

Good but inconsistent
I feel like this does really cause any stomach upset which I cannot say of other iron supplements I have tried. I have found the product inconsistent. The first bottles I bought where great. In subsequent bottles the pills where extremely dusty, almost crumbly. I almost gave up on these, but on my last order, the pills were back the the high quality of the first bottles that I ordered.

Life changer
I had gastric bypass previously. My iron was dangerously low for multiple years. Other supplements either didn't have any impact or were too rough to swallow (the taste on some is brutal). These were a miracle find. It comes with two bottles. I had blood work done before taking it then again when I was almost finished with the second bottle. I went from being SEVERELY anemic, to on the low end of normal in that time span. I used to chew ice non stop and I've finally stopped. I don't gag when I take it either. If you are looking for an iron supplement this is the one!

GREAT product, but make to make sure you get the right KIND of iron supplement, ask your doctor.
THIS is Ferrous Fumarate. There is also Ferrous Gluconate, and the most common on the shelves at the drug store seems to be Ferrous Sulfate. My doctor specifically prescribed Ferrous Fumarate and there was only one very expensive brand at the drug store. So - I got the Ferret's brand on Amazon and have reordered many times. I had been iron deficient according to lab results, and taking this supplement once per day brought my various iron levels up very well and quite quickly. They are the least expensive I've found. They are smallish tablets and easy to swallow. I recommend. Other than physician consultation, I imagine you could consult your pharmacist, dietitian, nurse practitioner or physician's assistant. More proof: I regularly donate platelets at Red Cross. My hemoglobin levels get tested each time. They had been getting too low and I'd get turned away. Once I started taking these, my hemoglobin count would always be high enough!
